摘要: Methods to improve the tropism or other features of a virus is disclosed. Such methods can be used to prepare, e.g., DNA or plasmid libraries of variants of a gene encoding a viral capsid or envelope restriction site, libraries of viral clones with such variant genes with a randon-dy inserted restriction site or polypeptide sequence targeting a receptor expressed by a specific type of mammalian cells. Described are also methods to prepare mosaic viruses, i.e., viral particles wherein copies of one or more capsid or envelope proteins originate from different sources. These methods can be used to prepare mosaic viruses of a specific mixture of wild-type and mutant proteins, or of different types of mutant proteins.

摘要: A motor vehicle optoelectronic monitoring device includes a sensor, imaging systems, a shutter, and a controller. Each sensor element outputs a sensor element signal based on the intensity of a light signal received by the sensor element. Each imaging system is associated with a sensor region and illuminates an object to monitor the object. Two sensor regions associated with two respective imaging systems partially overlap one another. Each imaging system illuminates the sensor elements of the associated sensor region with a light signal indicative of the object being monitored. The controller controls the shutter unit to selectively enable and disable illumination of the sensor by the imaging systems. The controller processes the sensor element electric signals output by the sensor elements in response to illumination by an imaging system to determine conditions of the object being monitored by the imaging system.

摘要: The invention is based on a method for coating at least one wiper blade element (10) made of an elastomer material, in which first, the surface of the wiper blade element (10) is cleaned and activated by means of a plasma, and then in a CVD process, a coating material is brought into a plasma state and at least one protective coating (64) forms on the surface of the wiper blade element (10), where a high-frequency voltage is applied to the region of the wiper blade element (10) oriented away from the protective layer (64) by means of an electrode (56). The invention proposes that before being brought into a treatment chamber (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 74), the wiper blade element (10) be cut to a useful length (66) from a profiled band and placed on an electrode plate (56) so that its wiper lip (18) stands approximately perpendicular to the electrode plate (56), which extends to both sides of the wiper blade element (10), and is subjected to a plasma flow (50).

摘要: A dispenser drain attachment includes a threaded cap having a tapered drain socket and an associated drain tube. The interior of the drain tube has a double diaphragm which seals the drain tube, as well as an elastic gas bellows for dispensing liquid portions by alternating deformation of the diaphragm disks of the double diaphragm, which acts as a one-way valve. Such deformation is the result of pressure conditions which change when the gas bellows is compressed and then again released. The dispenser drain attachment is assembled from only two one-piece structural parts, each of which is produced by a two-component injection molding procedure.

摘要: A device and a method for automatically adapting a light sensor to the light transmission properties of a windshield include determining the light transmission properties of the windshield for light having at least two different wavelengths. Light intensities of each of at least two different wavelengths of a light beam transmitted by a transmitter along a path through the windshield are measured by a light receiver. The measured light intensities are compared with reference light intensity values associated with clear glass. Transmission properties of the windshield are then calculated based on the comparison between the measured light intensities and the reference light intensity values. The light sensor is then adapted as a function of the calculated transmission properties of the windshield.

摘要: An optoelectronic monitoring device for a vehicle includes a single optical sensor array having a grid of optical sensor elements. Each optical sensor element generates an electronic signal in response to optical signals imaged onto the optical sensor elements. Optical imaging systems image respective optical signals onto the optical sensor array. The optical signals of each optical imaging system is representative of a monitored condition of a vehicle. The optical imaging systems form a single physical unit which is fixed with respect to the optical sensor array. Each optical imaging system is associated with a respective optical sensor element group of the optical sensor array such that the respective optical signal of each optical imaging system is imaged onto the respective optical sensor element group. The optical sensor elements are configurable by a processor to be arranged in optical sensor element groups for being associated with respective optical imaging systems.
