Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels connected to a plurality of scan lines and a plurality of data lines, respectively; a scan driver, which provides a scan signal to the pixels through the scan lines; a data driver, which provides a data voltage to the pixels through the data lines; and a controller, which controls the scan driver and the data driver, and receives input image data at a variable input frame frequency. The controller determines whether a gray scale value of the input image data is included in any range of a first gray scale range and a second gray scale range different from the first gray scale range, and dithers the input image data when it is determined that the gray scale value of the input image data is included the first gray scale range.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a current sensor that senses a sensing current that flows through the pixels, and a data compensator. The data compensator calculates a target current from an image frame of input image data using a current deviation for each position of the image frame and a current contribution ratio for each color of the image frame, and that generates a scale factor by comparing the target current and the sensing current. The display device further includes a timing controller that generates output image data by scaling grayscale values of the input image data using the scale factor; and a data driver that provides a data signal corresponding to the output image data to the pixels.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a driving controller, and a voltage generator. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels receives a driving voltage through a first voltage line. The driving controller receives an input image signal including first to third color signals and outputs a voltage control signal for controlling a voltage level of the driving voltage based on the first to third color signals. The voltage generator provides the driving voltage to the first voltage line and determines the voltage level of the driving voltage based on the voltage control signal. The driving controller determines first to third gate-source voltages respectively corresponding to the first to third color signals and outputs the voltage control signal based on the first to third gate-source voltages.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a driving controller and a data driver. The display panel is configured to display an image. The driving controller is configured to generate a compensated image data for compensating a decrease of a luminance of an edge portion of the display panel based on input image data. The driving controller is configured to generate the compensated image data by comparing a maximum value among subpixel grayscale values of the input image data to which a luminance compensating coefficient is applied and a maximum grayscale value of the input image data.
