Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device and a screen control method for processing a user input by using the same, and according to the various embodiments of the present invention, the electronic device comprises: a housing; a touchscreen display located inside the housing and exposed through a first part of the housing; a microphone located inside the housing and exposed through a second part of the housing; at least one speaker located inside the housing and exposed through a third part of the housing; a wireless communication circuit located inside the housing; a processor located inside the housing and electrically connected to the touchscreen display, the microphone, the at least one speaker, and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory located inside the housing and electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores a first application program including a first user interface and a second application program including a second user interface, wherein the memory stores instructions, and when the memory is executed, cause the processor to: display the first user interface on the display, while displaying the first user interface, receive a user input through at least one of the display or the microphone, wherein the user input includes a request for performing a task using the second application program, transmit data associated with the user input to an external server via the communication circuit, receive a response from the external server via the communication circuit, wherein the response includes information on a sequence of states of the electronic device to perform the task, and after receiving the response, display the second user interface on a first region of the display, based on the sequence of the states, while displaying a portion of the first user interface on a second region of the display. Other various embodiments, in addition to the various embodiments disclosed in the present invention, are possible.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device and an input control method thereof. The electronic device may include: a touch screen display; a wireless communication circuit; a processor operatively coupled with the touch screen display, the wireless communication circuit, and the connector; and a memory operatively coupled with the processor. The memory may store instructions, when executed, for allowing the processor to render a screen including a plurality of icons in a set format when the electronic device is coupled with the external display device via the connector, and provide data related to the screen to the external display device, wherein the screen is adapted with a first relation in which an entire region of the touchscreen display corresponds to an entire region of the external display device or a second relation in which the entire region of the touchscreen display corresponds to a partial region of the external display device. Abstract: According to various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device includes: a display; a near-field wireless communication circuit configured to repetitively transmit a scan signal for finding an access point; a processor electrically connected to the communication circuit; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein, during execution, the memory can store commands for allowing the processor to set a transmission period of the scan signal as a first period, to determine whether it is necessary to adjust a scan frequency on the basis of a trigger for turning on the display when the display is turned on, to maintain the transmission period as the first period when the scan frequency adjustment is not necessary, and to change the transmission frequency to a second period shorter than the first period, when the scan frequency adjustment is necessary.

Abstract: A video encoding method and an electronic device adapted to the method are provided. The electronic device includes: a wireless communication circuit configured to communicate with a first electronic device, a touchscreen configured to display a user interface for performing a video call, a speaker, a microphone, one or more processors electrically connected to the communication circuit, the touchscreen, the speaker, and the microphone, and a memory electrically connected to the one or more processors, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to: receive a signal related to an incoming video call from the first electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, receive a user input accepting the video call via the user interface, transmit a signal accepting the video call to the first electronic device via the wireless communication circuit in response to the user input, receive a video stream from the first electronic device via the wireless communication circuit, wherein the video stream has been adapted at the first electronic device, based at least partly on: status information on the electronic device and/or status information on wireless communication between the electronic device and the first electronic device, display the received video stream on the touchscreen while providing voice from the video call, using the speaker, receive voice, using the microphone, and transmit the received voice to the first electronic device, using the wireless communication circuit.
