摘要： A movable cable plow for dredging an underwater cable groove in a sea bed is disclosed wherein the plow is attached to a main body adapted to be pulled across the sea bed, such that it is adjustable vertically and angularly with respect to the main body. This allows the acurate control of the depth of the dredge groove. Also, a cable guide is pivotably attached to the plow, by way of a torsion spring hinge pin, so as to swing laterally with respect to the plow. This minimizes the lateral forces transmitted to the main body during the turning of the apparatus and, thereby, reduces the chances of the main body tipping over during the turning operation.

The transparent resin layer has an outer circumferential surface that forms a boundary between the transparent resin layer and the atmosphere. When a minimum circumference that includes the overall phosphor layer and is concentric with the outer circumferential surface has a radius r in a cut surface where at least a part of the outer circumferential surface takes a shape of an arc having a radius R, a relationship of R>r·n is satisfied. With such configuration, the light extraction efficiency is enhanced.

摘要： A motion estimation method and a motion estimation apparatus for calculating a motion vector to estimate a current picture partially forming a video sequence on the basis of first and second reference pictures partially forming the video sequence. In the method and apparatus, a reference block included in the first reference picture similar to a current block included in the current picture is specified and multiplied by a first coefficient. By performing a subtraction between the multiplied reference block and the current block, a template block indicative of a difference between the multiplied reference block and the current block is obtained. On the other hand, candidate blocks are calculated by multiplying, by a second coefficient, each reference blocks included in a search window partly forming the second reference picture. Based on the candidate blocks and template block are calculated distortion values each indicative of a difference between the following interpolated blocks and current block. Each of the interpolated blocks is indicative of a mean between the specified reference block of the first reference picture and each reference blocks of the search window.
