    Abstract: An imaging device that generates a pulse signal by utilizing photoelectric conversion operation is provided.
    A data potential generated by the photoelectric conversion operation is input to a pulse generation circuit to output a pulse signal having a spike waveform. In addition, a structure in which product-sum operation of pulse signals is performed is provided, and digital data is generated from a new pulse signal. The digital data is taken into a neural network or the like, whereby processing such as image recognition can be performed. Processing up to taking an enormous amount of image data into a neural network or the like can be performed in the imaging device; thus, processing can be efficiently performed.

    Abstract: A highly convenient imaging device is provided. Alternatively, a highly reliable imaging device is provided. Alternatively, a highly convenient authentication device is provided. Alternatively, a highly reliable authentication device is provided. The imaging device includes a substrate, a pixel array, and an adhesive layer. The substrate has flexibility, the pixel array is positioned over a first surface of the substrate, and the adhesive layer is positioned on a second surface facing the first surface of the substrate. The pixel array includes a light-receiving element and a light-emitting element. The light-receiving element has a function of sensing infrared light and includes a first pixel electrode, an active layer, and a common electrode. The light-emitting element has a function of emitting infrared light and includes a second pixel electrode, a light-emitting layer, and the common electrode. The active layer is positioned over the first pixel electrode and contains a first organic compound. The light-emitting layer is positioned over the second pixel electrode and contains a second organic compound different from the first organic compound. The common electrode includes a portion overlapping with the first pixel electrode with the active layer therebetween, and a portion overlapping with the second pixel electrode with the light-emitting layer therebetween.

An imaging device having a neuron in a neural network includes a plurality of first pixels, a first circuit, a second circuit, and a third circuit. Each of the plurality of first pixels includes a photoelectric conversion element. The plurality of first pixels is electrically connected to the first circuit. The first circuit is electrically connected to the second circuit. The second circuit is electrically connected to the third circuit. Each of the plurality of first pixels generates an input signal of the neuron. The first circuit, the second circuit, and the third circuit function as the neuron. The third circuit includes an interface connected to the neural network.

The switch unit has a function of outputting the image data generated by the imaging circuit or the image data processed by the image processing unit. The retention circuit included in the selector has a function of receiving and retaining a parameter that is output from the switch unit. The first retention circuit and the second retention circuit each include a transistor including a metal oxide in a channel formation region.

    Abstract: A semiconductor device with a small number of transistors is provided. The semiconductor device includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a third transistor, a first wiring, and a second wiring. The first transistor includes a first gate and a second gate. The first gate and the second gate overlap with each other with a semiconductor therebetween. The first wiring and the second wiring are supplied with a high power supply potential and a low power supply potential, respectively. A first terminal of the first transistor is electrically connected to the first gate and the first wiring. A second terminal of the first transistor is electrically connected to the second gate. The second terminal of the first transistor is electrically connected to the second wiring through the second transistor and the third transistor. The first transistor, the second transistor, and the third transistor are preferably n-channel transistors.
