摘要: Phosphor compositions including those having the formulas A2-xEuxW1-yMoyO6, where A is selected from Y, Gd, Lu, La, and combinations thereof; and where 0.5≦x≦1.0, 0.01≦y≦1.0; MmOnX, wherein M is selected from the group of Sc, Y, a lanthanide, an alkali earth metal and mixtures thereof; X is a halogen; 1≦m≦3; and 1≦n≦4, and wherein the lanthanide doping level can range from 0.1 to 40% spectral weight; and Eu3+ activated phosphate or borate phosphors. Also disclosed are light emitting devices including a light source and at least one of the above phosphor compositions.

摘要: A method for the manufacturing of white LEDs is proposed, which can achieve a tunable color rendering index (CRI) or luminosity through the use of at least two phosphor composition layers of essentially the same emission color coordinates, each composition including at least one individual phosphor compound. The method allows to optimize the devices for CRI at a given minimal luminosity requirement, or vice versa.

In one embodiment, an optical device can be configured to emit multiple colors of light at particular wavelengths. The optical device may also be configured to generate an emission spectrum with multiple peaks. The spectrum can be selected based on stimulating biological processes of a plant.

摘要: Embodiments described herein provide optical systems that can mix colors to produce illumination patterns having a large area with uniform color. One embodiment of an optical system can include a set of optical units that each produces an illumination pattern with uniform color and intensity. The optical units are spaced so that the individual illumination patterns overlap to create an overall illumination pattern with an overlap area. In the overlap area, the colors emitted by the individual optical units mix to create a desired color. Embodiments of optical systems can provide beam control so that the optical units emit a high percentage of light in beam.

摘要: A light emitting device including a phosphor blend including four or more phosphors emitting within a specific spectral range to optimize the color rendering index (CRI) for a given color coordinated temperature (CCT). The blend will include at least four phosphors selected from the following: a blue phosphor having an emission peak at 400-500 nm, a green phosphor having an emission peak at 500-575 nm, an orange phosphor having an emission peak from 575-615 nm, and a deep red phosphor having an emission peak at 615-680 nm. The preferred blends are used to make light sources with general CRI values (Ra) greater than 95 at CCT's from about 2500 to 8000 K.
