The limitation specifies a condition for requesting a second system information set from the network node (110). Correspondingly, the radio device (120) receives the first system information set and the limitation from the network node (110), and may, for example, determine whether or not to transmit a request for the second system information set based on detecting that the condition is or is not met, respectively.

During a network-controlled mobility procedure relating to handover of the terminal device from a first radio access node, a first cell or a first beam to a second radio access node, second cell or a second beam, the first and second radio access nodes, cells or beams being different than the one or more candidate radio access nodes, cells or beams, responsive to a determination that a quality of a radio link between the terminal device and at least one of the first and second radio access nodes, cells or beams, does not meet a first quality criterion, the terminal device attempts to connect to one or more of the candidate radio access nodes, candidate cells or candidate beams for which the radio link has a measured quality that meets a second quality criterion.

The presence/non-presence or a value of the second field is indicative of how to manage a configured first functionality associated with an optional first field, wherein the configured first functionality may not be supported by the target base station.

摘要: According to certain embodiments, a method by a wireless device is provided for beam-based random access. The method includes receiving, from a network node, a handover command, the handover command comprising at least one suitability threshold. Measurements of each of a plurality of beams detected by the wireless device are performed. The measurements of the plurality of beams are compared to the at least one suitability threshold. A particular beam is selected based on the comparison, and a random access procedure is initiated.

The method comprises receiving a first handover message from a source network node associated with a source cell. The first handover message comprises an identification of a target cell and access information associated with the target cell. The target cell is different than the source cell and comprises one or more beams. The method also includes identifying at least one beam from among the one or more beams of the target cell. The at least one beam is identified based on the identification of the target cell and the access information from the first handover message. The method further includes accessing the target cell using the identified at least one beam.

摘要: A wireless communication device is configured for use in a wireless communication system. The device in this regard is configured to receive a command that commands the device to perform a link switch from a source link to a target link responsive to fulfillment of a condition. The command may indicate a target link configuration relative to a source link configuration. The device is also configured to store information from which the target link configuration indicated by the command is determinable irrespective of any change to the source link configuration occurring after receipt of the command. In some embodiments, the device is configured to, responsive to fulfillment of the condition, perform a link switch from the source link to the target link using the target link configuration as determined from the stored information.

An access category may be determined from a plurality of access categories and at least one access identity may be determined from a plurality of access identities to be applied for an access attempt. An establishment cause may be determined for the access attempt based on the access category determined from the plurality of access categories and based on the at least one access identity from the plurality of access identities. A connection request message for the access attempt may be transmitted to a wireless communication network, with the connection request message including the establishment cause determined based on the access category and based on the at least one access identity. 摘要: A method of operation of a wireless communication device to perform handover from a source cell to a target cell in a wireless communication system is provided. The wireless communication device performs (202) a beam tracking procedure for one or more neighbor cells to provide, for each neighbor cell, a list of tracked beams for the neighbor cell. The wireless communication device receives (212) a handover command from a source radio access node that instructs the wireless communication device to perform a handover from a source cell served by the source radio access node to a target cell served by a target radio access node. The target cell is one of the one or more neighbor cells for which the beam tracking procedure is performed. The wireless communication device then selects (214) a beam of the target cell from the list of tracked beams for the target cell based on random access resource configuration and/or a quality threshold. The wireless communication device then performs (216) random access on the selected beam.
