Abstract: A thermal management device includes a first thermal circuit, a second thermal circuit, and a control unit. The first thermal circuit includes a first radiator and a battery. The second thermal circuit includes a heater, a temperature sensor, a first path, a second radiator, a second path, a heating appliance, and a flow rate adjusting unit. When a battery heating request and an air heating request are made, the control unit heats a second thermal transfer medium, and divides the flow of the second thermal transfer medium to the first and second paths. When a deficiency value of measured temperature with respect to a target temperature of the second thermal transfer medium is greater than a first threshold value in flow dividing processing, a second flow dividing proportion of the second path is set to be greater than a first flow dividing proportion of the first path.

Abstract: A control apparatus for a hybrid electric vehicle includes: an engine control portion for controlling an operation state of an engine; and a driving-mode control portion for controlling the vehicle so as to realize selected driving mode or modes. The driving modes include a main-drive-wheel driving mode in which a drive power is distributed to main drive wheels, and an all-wheel driving mode in which the drive power is distributed to the main and auxiliary drive wheels. When the all-wheel driving mode is selected in the main-drive-wheel driving mode with the engine being in a stopped state, the engine control portion is configured to maintain the stopped state of the engine until completion of switching from the main-drive-wheel driving mode to the all-wheel driving mode, and to start the engine after a predetermined operation is executed by the driver of the vehicle to drive the vehicle.

Abstract: A heat management device may include: a first heat circuit in which first heat medium circulates; a second heat circuit in which second heat medium circulates; a first radiator disposed in the first heat circuit; a second radiator disposed in the second heat circuit; and vehicle equipment exchanging heat with the first heat medium. The first and the second radiator may be disposed such that the first heat medium and the second heat medium are able to exchange heat with each other, the first heat medium may be heated by heat exchange between the first and the second heat medium in a case where a temperature of the second heat medium flowing into the second radiator is higher than a temperature of the first heat medium flowing into the first radiator, and the first heat medium heats the vehicle equipment by exchanging heat with the vehicle equipment.

A controller may be configured, in the second process, to cause the heat exchanger to cool the heat exchanger passage while a heat medium circulates in the heat exchanger passage and the battery passage and bypasses the radiator passage. The controller may be configured, in the third process, to cause the radiator to cool the heat medium while the heat medium circulates in the radiator passage and the electrical apparatus passage and bypasses the heat exchanger passage.

Abstract: An ECU executes a first control when an automatic transmission has a shift range changed from an N range to a D range. In the first control, the ECU initially rotates an EOP and also sets a motor generator's rotational speed to a prescribed rotational speed. The ECU rapidly engages a Drive clutch while maintaining the motor generator's rotational speed at the prescribed rotational speed. The ECU then increases the motor generator's rotational speed to a target rotational speed set for the D range.
