Abstract: A control device for a transmission that has multiple shift stages and is configured to change an amount of power output from an engine of a vehicle for output includes a setting unit and a control unit. The setting unit is capable of setting, as a shift change mode, either one of a first shift change mode and a second shift change mode in which a speed of the engine is maintained in a higher state than that in the first shift change mode. The control unit is configured to execute shift change control on a basis of the set shift change mode. The control unit is configured to exclude one or more shift stages of the multiple shift stages and execute the shift change control when the second shift change mode is set.

Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a multi-clutch transmission of a vehicle, wherein the clutch transmission is adapted to be shifted either with a power shift or a power cut shift dependent on predetermined vehicle variables. The method includes detecting a power shift to a higher gear in low range gear, wherein if power shift to a higher gear in low range gear has been detected the method overrules the previously set gear shift strategy and controls the multi-clutch transmission such that a forthcoming gear shift is performed as a power shift.

Abstract: In a controller for an automatic transmission, when a jump gear shift via a plurality of intermediate shift stages is executed, a first and a second target intermediate shift stages are extracted, and a target input shaft rotation speed change rate is calculated from a difference in synchronous rotation speed between a shift stage before a current gear shift and the second target intermediate shift stage as a target shift stage of a gear shift which is executed after the current gear shift. Accordingly, it is possible to avoid a situation in which a shifting time in the gear shift control of the step before the second target intermediate shift stage becomes very short and thus packing of a clutch pack is not executed in a timely manner.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for performing a multiple gear downshift of a transmission gear by transiently operating in an intermediate gear. In response to ambient humidity and a condensate level in a charge air cooler, the transmission gear may be downshifted from a higher gear to an intermediate gear, and then to a requested lower gear. Downshifting through an intermediate gear may also be controlled based on the gear shift request.

Abstract: A method for controlling a drivetrain of a motor vehicle. The vehicle comprises a drive engine and a dual-clutch transmission. The dual-clutch transmission comprises a first friction clutch and a second friction clutch together with a first transmission unit and a second transmission unit, in order to establish a first power transmission branch and a second power transmission branch.
