摘要: If an edge of a sheet metal of a image forming apparatus damages an electric cable, the image signal is distorted and no correct image is formed since the damage causes feeding failure and signal deterioration. This is remarkable in the conventional digital electrophotographic apparatus, since the drive signal to drive a laser or a light emitting diode (LED) for exposing the photosensitive body becomes higher in frequency as a resolution and speed are increased and tends to generate the electric noise. In order to prevent damage of an electric cable by a metal frame, an apparatus having a holder for holding a feed cable is provided.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a charging roller, a transfer roller, and a toner charging brush, wherein the toner charging brush reciprocates in a longitudinal direction of the photosensitive drum. In the image forming apparatus, when a number of rotations per a unit time of the image bearing member is assumed to be “a” and a number of times of reciprocation per unit time of the toner charging brush is assumed to be “b” assuming that R=b/a, R is set to be in a range of 1/25≦R≦3. However, R=m/n (m and n are integers of 5 or less) is excluded. Consequently, generation of a periodic attachment pattern appearing on the photosensitive drum is eliminated.

摘要: To control a light emitted from a fluorescent lamp having phosphors with different afterglow properties for different colors, a center of a lighting control signal for controlling the lighting of the fluorescent lamp is controlled to constantly align with the center of a Hsync period so that despite the variation of the lighting time of the fluorescent lamp, a barycenter of the quantity of light from the fluorescent lamp in the Hsync period almost aligns with the center of the Hsync period to reduce the offset of the barycenter.

摘要: Method and apparatus for crushing the earth under the ground by boring a hole; inserting a drill head having radially directed water jet thereon down the hole to the desired stratum; rotatingly moving the drill head upwardly while jetting water radially to form a cylindrical crushed area; lowering the drill head to the original depth; extending a water jet extender arm radially to a projecting position; again rotatingly moving the drill head upwardly while jetting water from the nozzles on the radial outward portions of the extender arm to radially enlarge the cylindrical crushed area, the rotation of the extender arm also stirring the already crushed area; returning the extender arm to an original waiting position; and lifting the drill head out of the hole.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a sheet storage unit, a sheet feeding unit, a conveyance path for conveying a sheet to the image forming unit, a plurality of sheet detection sensors disposed along the conveyance path, a determination unit for determining whether predetermined time elapses from a detection of a front end of the sheet until a detection of a rear end of the sheet and a discharge unit. When the determination unit determines that the predetermined time has elapsed based on the detection by the sheet detection sensor disposed in the furthest upstream position among the plurality of sheet detection sensors, the sheet is discharged from the discharge unit, and when the determination unit determines that the predetermined time has elapsed based on the detection by the sheet detection sensors other than that disposed in the furthest upstream position, the sheet is stopped.

摘要: A sheet feeding apparatus in that a leading edge regulation member, which is provided on an end on a downstream in a sheet feeding direction of a manual feed tray tilted in such a manner that a portion of the manual feed tray on the downstream in the sheet feeding direction is lowered, regulates a position of an edge on the downstream in the sheet feeding direction of a sheet bundle supported by the manual feed tray. Further, an upper end portion of the leading edge regulation member is provided with a stepped portion, to thereby cause sheets in a surface layer portion of the sheet bundle, which are supported by the manual feed tray, to deviate downstream in the sheet feeding direction when the sheet bundle is placed in the manual feed tray.

The position of the lower surface of the sheet surface detecting member 61 being pushed up by the blown-up sheet is regulated such that the difference in height between the adsorbing surface of the adsorption conveyance belt 21 and the lower surface of the sheet surface detecting member 61 is smaller than the difference in a height direction between the adsorbing surface of the adsorption conveyance belt 21 and the upper surface of a separation nozzle by a sensor abutting portion 62 that regulates upward movement of the sheet surface detecting member 61.
