摘要: A tracking-error correcting system for use in apparatus of the type wherein signal information is recorded in parallel tracks on a record medium. The correcting system is useful for correcting deviations between the scanning path of a transducer which scans the record medium and the parallel tracks. A ramp signal generator generates a periodic ramp signal of substantially constant amplitude and having a duration which is equal to at least a portion of the time required for the transducer to traverse its scanning path. The level of the ramp signal is changed for successive scans of the record medium. An adjustable transducer support is provided to support the transducer in scanning relation to the record medium and is operative to displace the transducer transversely with respect to a parallel track in response to a drive signal applied thereto so as to align the scanning path of the transducer coincidentally with the parallel track. The ramp signal of changing level is used to produce the drive signal. The level of the ramp signal no longer is changed when the scanning path of the transducer is detected to substantially coincide with a parallel track.

摘要: A hydraulic continuously variable transmission has a variable displacement type first hydraulic system having a first plunger and a plunger abutting section which actuates the first plunger, and a second hydraulic system having a second plunger and provided with an output rotary section which rotates with abutment on the second plunger. A cylinder block rotates about an axis and has a first plunger hole and a second plunger hole which respectively retain the first and second plungers. A hydraulic closing circuit connects the first and second plunger holes and circulates a working oil between the first and second plunger holes. The continuously variable transmission has a distributing valve for controlling circulation of the working oil in the hydraulic closing circuit, a valve hole, formed in the cylinder block, for retaining the distributing valve, and a shaft which penetrates the cylinder block. The shaft and the cylinder block rotate synchronously and the output rotary section is rotatably supported around the shaft. The valve hole is formed in parallel to the shaft, and restriction means is arranged inclined with respect to the shaft and rotates in synchronism with the cylinder block to reciprocate the distributing valve with the distributing valve being restricted.

摘要: A hydraulic transmission (21) has an electric actuator (86) for changing its output/input rotation speed ratio. A controller (90) of the actuator memorizes a command current value to the actuator supposing that load is not applied on the hydraulic transmission, and calculates a value of load applied on the hydraulic transmission by calculating a difference between an actual command current value to the actuator and the memorized command current value. A command current value is compensated based on the value of load, and the actuator receives feedback to be controlled. A vehicle may have a differential mechanism (10), which combines rotation powers on input side and output side of the hydraulic transmission. A detector (82) detects rotation speed of a main speed change output shaft (27) serving as an output shaft of the differential mechanism. If the detected rotation speed differs from target rotation speed of the shaft (27) determined based on operation of a speed change operation tool, the actuator is forcedly controlled. This difference is supposed to be caused by load applied on the hydraulic transmission, whereby the load is calculated.

摘要: An apparatus and method for reproducing and after-recording digital signals in slant recording tracks sequentially arranged on a recording medium includes a recording subsystem for recording digital signals in each of the slant tracks and a reproducing subsystem for reproducing digital signals therefrom. The recording and reproducing subsystems include one or more recording and/or reproducing heads for scanning each of the tracks for recording and reproducing digital data therein. A tracking control subsystem controls tracking of the heads with respect to the tracks in a reproducing mode based upon tracking signals recorded both in first and second tracking signal recording areas of the tracks located at initial and final scan positions, respectively, of each track. In an after-recording mode, the tracking control subsystem utilizes tracking signals recorded in only one of the tracking signal recording areas while recording digital signals in a first sub information recording area proximal to the area from which the utilized tracking signals have been obtained.

摘要: A digital signal recording and reproducing apparatus are disclosed which can record digital data of the advanced television (ATV) system or some other digital data onto a recording medium without the necessity of displacing recording areas for sub codes of the recording medium and can thus make effective use of the recording capacity of the recording medium. When an ordinary television signal is to be recorded, the length of the Inter Block Gap IBG and amble areas between an audio signal recording area and a video signal recording area is set to an integral number of times the length of a synchronizing block of a digital audio signal and a digital video signal. When data of the ATV system or like data are to be recorded, the data are recorded continuously from the audio signal recording area to the video signal recording area.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for recording video signals in a plurality of tracks on a recording medium. In certain embodiments, first and second video signal intervals include respective first and second common sub-area signals representing at least one common sub-area of a video screen. The common sub-area signals of the first and second video signal intervals are recorded at respectively different locations within the plurality of tracks. In certain embodiments, component color video signals including luminance signals and first and second color difference signals are divided into a plurality of discrete cosine transformation (DCT) blocks and blocks representing common respective subdivisions of a video screen are assembled into corresponding macro blocks. Adjacent macro blocks are assembled into super macro blocks which, in turn, are arranged in a shuffled sequence relative to the positions of their subdivisions on the video screen for recording in the shuffled sequence. In certain embodiments, digital video signals representing a video screen are recorded in a plurality of tracks on a recording medium after dividing the digital video signals into a plurality of macro blocks assembled into sub-area groups of the video screen. The sub-area groups are shuffled by forming a sequence of track units each including a plurality of the sub-area groups one each from a respective horizontal division of the video screen. Each track unit is recorded in a respective one of a plurality tracks on the recording medium.

摘要: Video and audio data are recorded onto video and audio signal recording areas of a track of a record medium, these areas being included either in one of several segments in the track or the track being comprised of only a single segment of video and audio signal recording areas. Audio data that is supplied at substantially the same time as the video data is compressed and recorded in a first audio sector of the audio signal recording area. Then, depending upon whether a first or second audio signal recording mode is selected, either compressed audio data which is derived from the audio data supplied at substantially the same time as the video data or independent compressed audio data is provided. The derived or independent compressed audio data is recorded in a second audio sector of the audio signal recording area.
