    摘要： To provide an apparatus, a recording medium and a method for effectively preventing unauthorized use of a content. A content containing broken data different from correct content member data is recorded on an information recording medium. Furthermore, transform data, as the correct member data, to be substituted for the broken data, and a fix-up table storing setting position information of the content are recorded on the information recording medium. During the content playback process, the transform data is substituted for the content member data in accordance with the fix-up table recorded on the information recording medium. With this arrangement, even if the encryption key corresponding to the encrypted content recorded on the information recording medium is leaked, an apparatus unable to acquire the transform data cannot play back the content. Unauthorized use of the content is thus controlled.

    摘要： A multiview video decoding apparatus receives and decodes an encoded stream obtained as a result of encoding residual information, 2D images for N views, and depth images for N views, the residual information being the error between synthetic-view images generated using the 2D images for N views and the depth images for N views, and 2D images for (M−N) views at the view synthesis positions of the synthetic-view images. A view synthesizing apparatus generates the synthetic-view images by using the 2D images and depth images for N views decoded by the multiview video decoding apparatus. A residual information compensating apparatus adds the residual information into the generated synthetic-view images. The apparatus may be applied to a system that conducts view synthesis, for example.

    摘要： An information processing apparatus, an information recording medium, an information processing method, and a computer program are provided.In an information recording medium storing many pieces of content, a configuration that allows use management on segmented content basis is provided. A plurality of content management units corresponding to title, index and other information are set by partitioning stored content in an information recording medium. Different unit keys that are encryption keys are allocated to different content management units. At least the content real data included in each content management unit is encrypted by use of the unit key and the encrypted data is stored. In content reproduction, units are identified and decryption is executed by use of a unit key corresponding to each unit for reproduction. In an information recording medium storing many pieces of content for example, each of segmented pieces of content may be managed.

    摘要： An equipment unit having an interactive user interface is controlled by means of a simple apparatus. Data reproduced by a DVD player is decoded. The decoded data is converted into a signal format such as DVC SD or MPEG2-TS along with information about such as a menu. The converted information is transmitted to a simple display device through the 1394 digital interface. When a predetermined item in the menu displayed on the screen of the simple display device is selected by operating a remote commander, a corresponding panel command such as “CURSOR UP” or “EXEC” is transmitted to the DVD player. The selected item is recognized by the DVD player and necessary processing is executed.

    摘要： Video signal transmitting system in which digital video signal are divided into groups of predetermined frames. Digital video signals of at least one frame are intraframe coded and then transmitted. Remaining digital video signals are interframe coded with reference to the intraframe coded digital video signals, and intraframe coded digital video signals of a subsequent group of frames and are then transmitted. A motion vector from a predetermined reference frame is detected. Video signals are interframe coded by the motion vector to transmit the video signals. A motion vector from a first frame which is a plurality of frames away from the reference frame is converted to a motion vector for a one frame interval between the reference frame and the first frame. The motion vector is optimized, and is then transmitted.
