For each frame of the first plurality of frames, a portion of a corresponding frame of a version of the video having a second resolution that is higher than the first resolution can be sampled to generate a bias for the frame. A second plurality of frames of the video including the respective bias can be generated, wherein the second plurality of frames corresponds to the first plurality of frames. A second plurality of frames of the video including the respective bias can be generated.

    摘要: In one embodiment, a system for setting frame priority according to priority levels includes a video encoder to encode a first video frame of a live video stream yielding an encoded first video frame having a first priority level, and a processor to read, from a memory, an estimate of a time delay, the time delay being a time for data in the live video stream to be transferred from a first device to a second device, and determine if the estimate of the time delay exceeds a pre-defined delay, and wherein if the estimate of the time delay exceeds the pre-defined delay, the video encoder is operative to encode a second video frame with a higher priority level than the first priority level, the second video frame being a most recent video frame to be presented from the live video stream for encoding after the first video frame.     摘要: Systems and methods for transmitting video frames are described. Specifically, frame rate modification techniques such as blending and/or packing processes are used to translate high frame-rate signals into low-frame rate signals, which are transmitted over limited bandwidth transmission media to a video signal receiver. Information pertaining to the blending and/or packing processes is transferred to the video signal receiver in the form of a map that is used to reconstruct the high frame-rate signals from the low-frame rate signals. The high frame-rate signals may be used by certain types of newer equipment designed to use such signals. However, legacy equipment that cannot use the high frame-rate signals may opt to use certain embodiments described herein that are designed to be backward-compatible. When backward-compatible, the video signal receiver generates suitable low frame-rate signals as well as the high frame-rate signals, thereby accommodating both legacy as well as newer equipment.

    摘要: Discussed is an apparatus for transmitting an encoded video stream, comprising: a slice generating unit that divides a frame, comprised in a video stream, into at least one or more slice; and a transmitting unit transmitting the slice in units of a packet within a slice deadline, which is a time limit required for transmission of the slice, the transmitting unit that preferentially transmits a header packet that contain a slice header information over other packets, and the slice header that comprises of information necessary for reconstructing the slice, wherein the transmitting unit comprises: a packet transmitter that retransmits the packet when the packet fails to be transmitted within the predetermined retry limit; and a header protector performing control for the header packet to be repeatedly transmitted within the slice deadline even when number of retransmissions of the header packet exceeds the predetermined retry limit.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a displaying method for video image coded data which prevents deterioration of image quality of a video image as much as possible, and conceals, from an observer, deteriorated video quality caused due to a transmission error. The displaying method selects target image frames to be decoded and target image frames to be discarded, by performing error determination (32) in parallel with an error recovery process and other image restoration processes, and decodes (33) only the selected target image frames. A predetermined display device sequentially displays (34) only the decoded target image frames while adjusting a frame rate.
