Abstract: A method, a network device, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium are described in relation to a hybrid network slicing service. The hybrid network slicing service may enable the initial configuration of a network slice according to network slice requests that may include customized and user-specified network performance criteria. The hybrid network slicing service may enable network slice requests to specify selection of network resources and use/availability based on entity-based criteria including end device and/or application specific associations. The hybrid network slicing service may optimize network slice configurations and generate network slice templates.

Abstract: A network function virtualization (NFV) orchestration service includes a centralized orchestration device and a multi-cluster container management (MCCM) platform. The centralized orchestration device stores a catalog of virtual network function descriptors (VNFDs) in an input language; generates, based on the catalog of VNFDs, intents for containerized network function (CNF) services; and stores the generated intents as blocks in a central intent database, wherein the blocks include an input data model for the CNF services. The MCCM platform includes one or more processors to receive and store a copy of the intent database; read design time policies from the copy of the intent database; and convert the input data model into a vendor-specific output data model in an output language.

Abstract: A device may receive application information of an application to be deployed in a cloud computing environment. The application information may include requirement information including information defining a compute requirement of the application, a storage requirement of the application, and a network connectivity requirement of the application, and first capability information identifying requested capabilities of the first set of devices. The device may receive second capability information identifying actual capabilities of the second set of devices. The device may compare the first capability information and the second capability information to determine a measure of similarity between the first capability information and the second capability information. The device may generate deployment information for deploying the application on a device, of the second set of devices, based on the measure of similarity.

Abstract: A radio access network (RAN) node can receive, from a user equipment (UE), a request to establish a session associated with a low-latency service level agreement (SLA). The session can be mapped to a radio bearer associated with a network slice configured to support the low-latency SLA, wherein the network slice can include a RAN portion and a core network portion that are co-located at a RAN edge to support the low-latency SLA. The RAN node can provide information related to the radio bearer to a distributed unit (DU) associated with the RAN portion of the network slice and route traffic associated with the session through the network slice configured to support the low-latency SLA via the radio bearer mapped to the session. As such, the session can have a context maintained in the RAN portion and the core network portion of the network slice.

Abstract: A computer device may include a memory configured to store instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to receive a request from a user equipment (UE) device to resolve a Domain Name System (DNS) query for a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) and determine that the URL corresponds to a malicious URL. The processor may be further configured to select to not resolve the DNS query in response to determining that the URL corresponds to a malicious URL and send an indication to the UE device that the URL corresponds to a malicious URL.

Abstract: A network device obtains service requirements associated with a customer identifier, obtains a first profile describing an infrastructure design of multiple transport domains associated with at least one network slice of a network, and obtains a second profile describing performance characteristics of the multiple transport domains of the at least one network slice. The network device receives training data associated with performance measurements of the multiple transport domains of the at least one network slice, and updates a machine learning model based on the training data. The network device selects at least one of the multiple transport domains for orchestration using the updated machine learning model, the service requirements, the first profile, and the second profile.

Abstract: A method, a system, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an access and mobility management function (AMF) assignment service is provided. A network device receives an assignment policy for selecting an AMF from a group of available AMFs, wherein the assignment policy includes network slice priorities for available network slices in the RAN; stores the assignment policy; receives, during a registration procedure initiated by an end device, Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (NSSAI); identifies, from the NSSAI, multiple single-NSSAIs (S-NSSAIs); and selects, based on the assignment policy, an AMF for a highest priority S-NSSAI, of the multiple S-NSSAIs.
