A polymer-based PLOT capillary column prepared by in situ copolymerization of a functional monomer, which usually contains the retentive chemistries, and a crosslinking monomer, which enhances the strength of the polymer matrix, is disclosed. Also disclosed is a system comprising the polymer-based PLOT column coupled to a mass flow or concentration sensitive detector, for carrying out a chemical analysis method on samples separated by liquid chromatography using the column, and a process for using the system. Columns of the invention can be prepared in a robust fashion with a very narrow i.d., e.g., 5-15 μm. Thus, they are suitable for commercial use in ultratrace LC/MS proteomic analysis. Columns according to the invention are characterized by high resolving power and high column-to-column reproducibility. When these columns are coupled on-line with, e.g., ESI-MS detection, the resulting systems are capable of detecting the component parts of complex proteomic samples down to the low attomole to sub-attomole level.

The present invention discloses a method for realizing content adaptation and a content adaptation server, the method includes: receiving a multimedia message from a calling terminal, wherein contents of the multimedia message and a model of a called terminal are included in the multimedia message; determining the multimedia formats supported by the called terminal according to the model of the called terminal, and selecting an optimum multimedia format from them; and compressing the multimedia message according to the selected optimum multimedia format, and sending the compressed multimedia message according to the maximum size of the multimedia message supported by the called terminal. Based on the present invention, the presentation effect of the contents of the multimedia message can be enhanced and the user experience can be improved by selecting the optimum multimedia format to compress the multimedia message according to the model of the called terminal.

The method includes: configuring a first shared resource used for a scheduling request (SR), and sending first information to multiple terminal devices to notify of the first shared resource (101); receiving the SR on the first shared resource (102); allocating a second shared resource of uplink data to the multiple terminal devices, or allocating a dedicated resource of uplink data to at least one of the multiple terminal devices (103). The present invention avoids the waste of the uplink data resource, and improves a utilization rate of the uplink data resource and a transmission success rate of the uplink data.
