摘要: The present invention relates to a method of isolating stem cells from a mixed population of different cell types. This method involves selecting a promoter which functions only in said stem cells and not in the other cell types. The promoter can have a nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 5, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ ID NO: 7, and SEQ ID NO: 8. A nucleic acid molecule encoding a marker protein under control of said promoter is introduced into all cell types of said mixed population and only the stem cells, but not the other cell types, within said mixed population are allowed to express said marker protein. The cells of said mixed population of cell types that are expressing the marker protein, which are restricted to the stem cells are identified and separated from the mixed population, where the separated cells are restricted to the stem cells. The promoter, nucleic acid constructs comprising it, and the resulting stem cells are also disclosed. The nucleic constructs can be incorporated in transgenic animals in order to monitor stem cell movement. A disorder mediated by stem cell proliferation can be carried out by administering both (1) a nucleic acid construct comprising the promoter of the present application and an enzyme capable of converting a prodrug to a cytotoxic drug and (2) the prodrug.

摘要: On a semiconductor substrate, a transistor and a capacitor electrically connected to the transistor are formed, the capacitor having two electrodes made of metal and a capacitor dielectric layer between the two electrodes made of oxide dielectric material. A temporary protective film is formed over the capacitor, the temporary protective film covering the capacitor. The semiconductor substrate with the temporary protective film is subjected to a heat treatment in a reducing atmosphere. The temporary protective film is removed. The semiconductor substrate with the temporary protective film removed is subjected to a heat treatment in an inert gas atmosphere or in a vacuum state. A protective film is formed over the capacitor, the protective film covering the capacitor. With these processes, leak current of the capacitor can be reduced.

摘要: A novel fundus angiographic application and method using fluorescein isothiocyanate dextrans (FITC-dextran) as fluorescence angiographic dye for diagnosis and evaluation of eye diseases on humans is disclosed. The method involves the process of constitution of FITC-dextran solution and intravenous injection of the said solution, followed by observation and photography of ocular fundus circulation using a fluorescence fundus camera with an image system. The invention offers improved fundus angiograms over the traditional Na-fluorescein fundus angiography (Na-fluorescein) and indocyanine green fundus angiography (ICG) with the advantages of higher clarity and higher resolution; capable of visualizing both the retinal and the choroidal circulations systems simultaneously; providing longer fundus image duration so that it can be used as a directly mapping guidance in retinal surgery or to complete the angiograms for both eyes by a single process; providing more information about the pathological changes occurred among retinal, sub-retinal and choroidal circulation systems.

摘要: Systems and methods are presented to support operation of a multiple subscriber identity module (SIM) device. A timing conflict may exist when a scheduled high priority communication of a first SIM overlaps with a scheduled paging monitoring activity for a second SIM. The multiple SIM device may preempt transitioning communication resources to the second SIM when the first SIM executes high priority communications. Or, the multiple SIM device may execute a rescheduling action to resolve the timing conflict. The high priority communication of the first SIM may be rescheduled. Alternatively, normal priority paging monitoring actions may be rescheduled to resolve the timing conflict.
