Abstract: Photoreceptor scaffolds and scaffold systems including the photoreceptor scaffolds are described herein. The scaffolds and scaffold systems can be used for transplantation of organized photoreceptor tissue, with or without RPE, which may improve grafted cell survival, integration, and functional visual rescue. Particularly, the photoreceptor scaffold is structured from a biocompatible film, patterned with an array of unique through-holes having a curvilinear cell receiver and at least one cell guide channel.

Abstract: Provided herein are nanoplexes comprising a payload selected from a protein and/or a polynucleic acid; and a plurality of copolymers comprising a first copolymer that is poly(N,N′-bis(acryloyl)cystamine-poly(aminoalkyl)) (PBAP), a second copolymer that is poly(C2-3 akylene glycol)-PBAP-poly(C2-3 akylene glycol), and a third copolymer that is TG-poly(C2-3 akylene glycol)-PBAP-poly(C2-3 akylene glycol)-TG wherein TG at each occurrence is independently a targeting ligand, a cell penetrating peptide, an imaging agent or a capping group, provided that a plurality of TG groups is a targeting ligand; wherein the payload is non-covalently complexed to one or more of the copolymers, one or more of the first, second, and/or third copolymers comprises an endosomal escape group having a pKa of about 4.5 to about 6.5, and optionally one or more of the first, second, and/or third copolymers comprises a host and a guest non-covalent crosslinker.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to unimolecular core-shell nanoparticle, nanoclusters thereof, and platelet biomimetic nanoclusters thereof. The disclosed compositions are useful for treating a subject with a disease or condition, such as a cardiovascular disease. In a further aspect, the cardiovascular disease can be a vascular stenosis or restenosis. Also described herein are methods of making and using the unimolecular core-shell nanoparticle, nanoclusters thereof, and platelet biomimetic nanoclusters thereof. Abstract: Provided herein are peptides comprising an amino acid sequence having at least about 85% sequence identity to RYRPRAPIIAVT (SEQ ID NO: 1). These cationic peptides inhibit PKM2 methylation and may be used in the treatment of breast cancer and other diseases or conditions in which PKM2 is overexpressed. Such PKM2 peptides may be delivered to cancer cells using pH sensitive unimolecular nanoparticles comprising anionic polymers.

Abstract: Power generators that incorporate porous electric generation layers composed of mechanoradical-forming polymers are provided. Also provided are methods for using the generators to convert mechanical energy into and electrical signal to power electronic devices. The porous electric generation material includes an organic polymer that forms free radicals when covalent bonds are homolytically ruptured upon the application of a compressive force to the porous structure.
