摘要： An electronic endoscope in accordance with the present invention consists broadly of an operation unit, an elongated insertion unit, and a universal cord. The operation unit has a treatment appliance insertion port and various operation switches and fills the role of a hand-held unit. The insertion unit extends from the lower end of the operation unit in a direction substantially corresponding to the longitudinal direction of the operation unit. The universal cord extends in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the operation unit at an acute angle, and accommodates at least a signal cable extending from the top of the operation unit.

摘要： A system which utilizes plural image forming apparatus, equalizes gradation characteristics of images commonly output from such plural image forming apparatus. When the system includes three color copying apparatus, at first a test pattern image based on data from a pattern generator is output from the color copying apparatus. The prepared image is read by the reader of the color copying apparatus, and, based on the read data, the correction data of a table (LUT) are calibrated for obtaining density data for a laser beam. The calibration of the correction data of the color copying apparatus are conducted in a similar manner using, however, the reader of the same copying apparatus for reading the test pattern. It is therefore, rendered possible to exclude the influence of the difference in the reader characteristics on the calibration, and to equalize the gradation characteristics when the copying apparatus are used as printers.

摘要： This invention has as its object to provide an image processing apparatus and method, which can obtain high image quality by adjusting an image forming parameter or parameters in consideration of a variation in image forming condition. In order to achieve the object, the gradation characteristics of an image to be recorded are adjusted on the basis of information obtained by forming a gradation characteristic adjustment test pattern on a recording medium, and reading the formed test pattern. Subsequently, the color reproduction characteristics of an image to be recorded are adjusted on the basis of information obtained by forming a color reproduction characteristic adjustment test pattern on a recording medium, and reading the formed test pattern.

摘要： An ultrasonic therapeutic apparatus comprising an apparatus body including a drive source for ultrasonic oscillation, a hand piece including an ultrasonic vibrator and removably connected to the apparatus body, a drive unit in the apparatus body for applying voltage to the ultrasonic vibrator of the hand piece, thereby driving the ultrasonic vibrator, a probe removably connected to the hand piece and adapted to be vibrated by ultrasonic vibration produced as the ultrasonic vibrator is driven, thereby treating organic tissue, a water supply unit for supplying cooling water to cool the probe, a suction unit for removing waste matter by suction from the organic tissue treated by means of the cooling water and the probe, an ultrasonic output setting section for setting a preset value for an ultrasonic output from the ultrasonic vibrator, a feedwater output setting section for setting a preset value for a feedwater output from the water supply unit, a feedwater output control section for controlling the feedwater output setting by the feedwater output setting section so that the preset feedwater output value is a value such that the probe is cooled and is not excessively heated, and a memory unit for storing the preset values for the ultrasonic output and the feedwater output.

摘要： An ultrasound type treatment apparatus includes an inner sheath covering an ultrasonic transmission member having a first suction passage and defining a space relative to the ultrasound transmission member and an outer sheath covering the inner sheath and defining a space relative to the inner sheath. In the treatment apparatus, a liquid medium supply passage is provided at one of the space between the ultrasound transmission member and the inner sheath and space between the inner sheet and the outer sheet to supply a liquid medium to the distal end of the ultrasound transmission member. A second suction passage is formed at the other of the space between the ultrasound transmission means and the inner sheath and space between the inner sheath and the outer sheath. The first suction passage is connected by a suction tube to the second suction passage.

摘要： A cerebral surgery endoscope apparatus comprises a stereotaxic instrument secured to the head of a patient and adapted to effect positioning of an affected part; an adjusted support means whose inserting direction is determined by its orientation to the stereotaxic instrument and which determines the direction in which a treating instrument is inserted into the head of the patient; a viewing device such as an endoscope supported on the support means and having a channel into which a treating instrument can be inserted, the treating instrument being inserted into a channel of the viewing device and then into the head of the patient. A fixing device is connected to the stereotaxic instrument and adapted to secure the support means, the viewing device and/or the treating instrument in a fixed position on with respect to the affected part.

In this treatment apparatus, an arithmetic operation circuit monitors a drive state of the ultrasonic oscillation device, a comparator is provided for receiving monitor information from the arithmetic operation circuit and for determining whether or not the supply of cooling medium to the sheath is normal and a controller is provided for stopping a drive of the ultrasonic oscillation device when the supply of the cooling medium is determined by the comparator as being not normal.
