摘要: An infusion pump system may include a portable infusion pump configured to be worn by a user and a separable display. The portable infusion pump may include a fluid container configured to store a fluid to be delivered to the user, a pumping mechanism configured to drive the delivery of the fluid from the fluid container to the user via a fluid delivery tube, and communications circuitry. The separable display may transmit, to the communications circuitry of the portable infusion pump when the separable display is coupled to the portable infusion pump, a fluid delivery protocol. The separable display may be separated from the portable infusion pump after transmission of the fluid delivery protocol to the portable infusion pump.

摘要: A fluid-fitting tool is disclosed that can align with and rotationally couple with a fluid fitting where the fluid-fitting tool can include a passage and an engagement feature for engaging against the fluid fitting such that when the fluid-fitting tool is spaced apart from the fluid fitting, the fluid-fitting tool can move in a longitudinal direction toward and away from the fluid fitting, and can rotate relative to the fluid fitting around a longitudinal axis of the passage, and when a portion of the fluid-fitting tool and the fluid fitting are rotationally aligned and longitudinally overlap, the fluid-fitting tool can move longitudinally relative to the fluid fitting, and the fluid fitting is rotated when the fluid-fitting tool is rotated around a longitudinal axis of the passage.

摘要: A peer network may include nodes corresponding to different clinicians. An edge may interconnect the two nodes based on the corresponding clinicians sharing at least one common attribute such as for example, treating the same patients and/or interacting with the same medical devices. A machine-learning model may be applied to identify, in the peer network, one or more peer communities of clinicians. The activity pattern of a clinician may be compared to the activity patterns of other clinicians in the same peer community to determine whether that clinician exhibits anomalous behavior. An investigative workflow may be triggered when the clinician is determined to exhibit anomalous behavior. The investigative workflow may include generating an alert, activating surveillance devices, and/or isolating medication accessed by the clinician.

摘要: Connector assemblies are disclosed. A connector assembly includes a housing with a post and a valve surrounds the post. The valve is displaceable and based upon the displacement allows fluid to pass therethrough. While providing fluid, a fluid delivery device provides an external force to displace the valve, causing the valve to form a fluid pocket that receives fluid from the fluid delivery device. As the fluid delivery device is removed from the connector assembly, the fluid pocket collapses and drives fluid stored in the fluid pocket through an opening in the post, where the fluid flows downstream to a catheter line. Additionally, the valve closes and covers the post prior to removal of the fluid delivery device. The collapsing fluid pocket and the valve closing prevent the fluid previously in the fluid pocket from upstream fluid flow otherwise caused by removal of the fluid delivery device.

摘要: A connector assembly may include a cover defining a cavity, a luer portion extending through an open end of the cover, a proximal connector disposed at least partially in the cavity of the cover, a pusher mounted on the proximal connector, a distal connector at least partially disposed in the cover, and a stopwatch mounted on the cover and including at least one contact. The pusher may include a body portion and first and second pusher legs extending from the body portion. When the distal connector is coupled to a mating connector, the stopwatch may abut the first pusher leg such that the at least one contact is recessed within the stopwatch. When a force applied to the proximal connector exceeds a predetermined threshold the stopwatch may be separated from the first pusher leg and the at least one contact may extend proximally to activate a timer of the stopwatch.

摘要: A method may include identifying a shift associated with a clinician by applying a machine learning model trained to identify, based on a series of transaction records associated with the clinician, one or more shifts associated with the clinician. The clinician may be identified as likely to engage in a hazardous behavior based at least on the shift associated with the clinician. In response to determining that the clinician as likely to engage in the hazardous behavior, activating a protective workflow. The protective workflow may be configured to prevent the clinician from engaging in the hazardous behavior as well as to collect evidence associated with the hazardous behavior. Related methods and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.
