    摘要: The invention relates to a process for the production of alkali metal chlorates by electrolysis of alkali metal chloride. The electrolyte is prepared by addition of a crystal slurry having a dry content above 50 per cent by weight to the of alkali metal chloride depleted reaction solution flowing out from th eelectrolyster. The crystal slurry has been prepared by dissolving an alkali metal chloride in water whereafter the obtained water solution has been purified in a known manner and concentrated to the stated dry content.

    摘要: A process for the production of hydrogen peroxide according to the anthraquinone process. According to the process certain cyclic urea derivatives are used as solvents, and particularly as solvents for anthrahydroquinones. The cyclic urea derivatives whcih can be N,N'-dialkyl substituted alkyleneurea, give a very good solubility for anthrahydroquinones and also for anthraquinones. The compounds can be used as the sole solvent at the production of hydrogen peroxide or in combination with conventionally used solvents such as hydrocarbons.

    摘要: A process for the production of hydrogen peroxide according to the anthraquinone process. According to the process certain alkyl substituted caprolactames are used as solvents, and particularly as solvents for anthrahydroquinones. The substituted caprolactames, which for example can be hexyl caprolactam and octyl caprolactam, give a very good solubility for anthrahydroquinones and also for anthraquinones. The compounds can be used as the sole solvent at the production of hydrogen peroxide or in combination with conventionally used solvents such as hydrocarbons.

    摘要: At the production of alkali metal chlorate by electrolysis of alkali metal chloride in an electrolyser a part of the liquid phase from the electrolyser is brought to a crystallizer for precipitation of alkali metal chlorate crystals. The hydrogen gas formed in the electrolyser is purified from contamination of chlorine gas by contacting it with the outgoing mother liquor from the crystallizer, which has a pH in the interval 7.5 to 14. The mother liquor is then brought back to the electrolysis system.

    摘要: The invention relates to hydrogen peroxide manufacture, and catalyst therefor, by direct oxidation of hydrogen with oxygen in an acidic aqueous medium. The catalyst includes a Group VIII metal on a partially hydrophobic, partially hydrophilic support, such as Pd on fluorinated carbon. Improvements in H.sub.2 O.sub.2 selectivity and catalyst stability are achieved by adding a source of sodium and chloride ions to the reaction medium and, in the case of a fluorinated carbon support, adding a source of fluoride ions.

    摘要: The invention concerns a solid alkalimetal silicate having a molar ratio SiO.sub.2 :M.sub.2 O from about 1.5 to about 3, in which M is an alkali metal and substantially consists of sodium and optionally potassium. The silicate contains from about 7 to about 20% by weight of sodium carbonate based on the dry material and has a water content from about 14 to about 22% by weight.
