Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for operating a physiological monitoring system that comprises a distributed algorithm. The physiological monitoring system ma comprise a sensor and a physiological monitor that may be communicatively coupled with the sensor. The sensor may store a first executable code segment and the physiological monitor may store a second executable code segment. The physiological monitor may be configured to receive the first executable code segment and execute the first and second executable code segments to determine at least one physiological parameter of a subject based on physiological signal provided by the sensor. The physiological monitor may be configured to delete or deactivate the first executable code segment. The physiological monitor may also store a configurable algorithm stage that may be configured based on algorithm configuration data received from the sensor.
Abstract:
A telemetrically enhanced article of clothing comprises a fabric layer having an inside surface and an outside surface. A sensor is attached to the inside surface of the fabric layer such that when the article of clothing is worn by the user, the sensor is in contact with the user's skin. An electrically conductive trace may extend along the fabric layer and may be electrically connected at a first end to the sensor. A retaining ring may be adhered to the fabric layer near a second end of the electrically conductive trace. The retaining ring is capable of receiving a telemetry device and forming a compression connection between the perimeter of the telemetry device and the retaining ring such that when the telemetry device is received in the retaining ring, the second end of the electrically conductive trace is in electrical contact with the telemetry device. The telemetry device may store, process, or transmit physiological and/or other data collected by a sensor.
Abstract:
A releasable connection assembly for connecting tubing sections is disclosed. The assembly includes a dual lumen male bayonet connector and a female latch connector. The dual lumen male bayonet connector includes a first shaft and a second shaft, where each of the first and second shafts includes a distal sealing portion defining a sealing surface, a proximal coupling portion, and an annular channel. The female latch connector includes a proximal end, two sealing members and a distal end. A kit is also disclosed. The kit includes a dual lumen male bayonet connector, a blood pressure cuff, and two sections of medical tubing. The two sections of medical tubing engage each of the proximal coupling portions of the first shaft and the second shaft and the blood pressure cuff.
Abstract:
A machine case includes a sink-like main portion and opposite deck stations by two ends of said main portion, and a terminal module. Said terminal module includes an insulator defining opposite top and bottom surfaces and a set of contacts retained to the insulator via a first insert molding process and arranged along a transverse direction. Each of said contacts is stamped and bent from sheet metal and unitarily formed with an upper contacting section and a lower contacting section. One of said upper contacting section and said lower contacting section defines an exposed end for originally linking to a contact carrier. The insulator forms a set of recesses originally formed between the contacting sections of neighboring contacts during the first insert molding while successively filled with material by the corresponding deck station in which said terminal module is embedded.
Abstract:
A probe includes a connector having a connection end surface, a first cover covering the connection end surface of the connector and defined by a surface perpendicular to a first direction corresponding to the direction toward which the probe is inserted, and a second cover configured to move in a second direction corresponding to a direction opposite to the first direction and which covers the connector by being stretched from the outer circumference of the first cover toward the second direction. The second cover moves in the second direction by receiving a press force directed toward the second direction from a wall surface formed by an opening of the adapter unit at the time of insertion of the connector into the adapter unit. The first cover is configured to be broken by the connector's press force directed in the first direction when the second cover moves in the second direction.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides adapters configured to interconnect a device connector of a medical device and a tube connector, the adapter having a first end with a female Luer connector and a second end having a primary Luer male connector, with a secondary female section.
Abstract:
An X-ray device includes a C-bracket having a radiation detector rotatably mounted on the C-bracket. The radiation detector may be rotated by a motor drive. The axis of rotation is perpendicular to the detector surface. The motor drive is a torque motor that includes a stator and a rotor. The radiation detector is coupled to the rotor.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for continuously monitoring a blood pressure measurement using a sensor connected by a hydraulic link to an arterial catheter, the method includes determining the dynamic parameters of the link, analyzing the frequency content of the incident signal, detecting one of the following situations: (a) ability of the link to transmit the incident signal with a distortion below a threshold, (b) ability of the link to transmit the incident signal with a distortion above the threshold and possibility of correcting the measured signal, (c) inability of the link to transmit the incident signal with a distortion below the threshold and impossibility of correcting the measured signal, periodic application of a mechanical action to the tubing providing the hydraulic link.
