The invention relates to a disk brake, in particular for utility vehicles, comprising a brake caliper, which extends over a brake disk, an application device located in the brake caliper for applying brake pads on both sides of the brake disk in the direction of the latter, in addition to at least one adjusting system located in the brake caliper for compensating wear and tear on the brake pad and/or disk. Said disk brake is characterized in that the adjusting system is configured on one or both sides of the brake disk as a preassembled adjuster module, which has at least the following components: an electromotor, which acts as the drive, or a drive connection to an electromotor and a reduction gear connected downstream of the electromotor, the rotative drive being fitted onto the mounting plate(s).

A brake system for a two-axle vehicle having a master brake cylinder. The brake system includes at least one connected brake circuit, each having front and rear wheel brake cylinders, front wheel inlet and outlet valves, rear wheel inlet and outlet valves, an accumulator chamber, and a control device via which, by opening the at least one rear wheel outlet valve, a brake fluid pressed out of master brake cylinder is displaceable via the open rear wheel outlet valve into the respectively downstream disposed accumulator chamber. When the at least one front wheel outlet valve is kept closed or closed, the control device is configured to increase and limit a brake pressure prevailing in the respectively associated front wheel brake cylinder to an accumulator chamber pressure actively prevailing in the accumulator chamber of the same brake circuit by keeping open or opening the at least one front wheel inlet valve.

A method for avoiding reducing scoring of the brake disc or the brake drum of a vehicle driven under rainy conditions calculates a product of three parameters, and activates an automatic braking operation for the vehicle, regularly, whenever the product exceeds the pre-determined threshold level. The first parameter is a rain intensity based parameter, a measure of the current raining intensity. The second parameter is a brake-activation-free driving time parameter, representing the time elapsed since the braking system of the vehicle was activated last. The third parameter is a speed parameter, which represents a current speed of the vehicle. As the automatic braking operation is carried out, the particles of dust, water, snow and de-icing substances, adhered to the brake disc of the vehicle, and causing scoring of the brake disc, are quickly removed, thus, reducing disc scoring.

A method of automatically adjusting at least one electric actuator of a brake to prevent dragging is provided including measuring a force applied by the at least one electrical actuator to a load measuring device The measured force is determined to be below a predetermined threshold. A predefined offset is subtracted from a current zero torque position of the at least one electrical actuator. Similarly, a drag offset is subtracted from the current zero torque position of the at least one electrical actuator to compensate for a dragging brake condition. The new zero torque position is then stored within a brake actuator controller coupled configured to control the brake.

The invention relates to a disk brake, particularly for commercial vehicles, comprising a brake caliper covering a brake disk, a tensing device arranged in a brake caliper for tensing the brake pads on both sides of the brake disk in the direction thereof, and at least one regulating system arranged in the brake caliper in order to equalize the brake pad and/or disk deterioration by adjusting the distance between the brake pad and the brake disk. The invention is characterized in that at least one or more adjusting rotational devices which are driven by an electric motor are provided on each side of the brake disk to adjust the axial distances between the brake pads and the brake disk. According to a method for controlling the regulating system of the brake disk, the regulating rotational device is individually controlled on both sides of the brake disk.
