摘要： A structure is provided in a container having a fluent material, such as a liquid or powder, to be selectively dispensed therefrom, and a simple, quick opening means for the container which may be effected without the need for special tooling such as a can opener.In one form, an opening is provided in the wall of a metal, plastic or paperboard container through which the contents thereof may be dispensed. Simple closure means is provided in the form of a short plastic or metal strip which is sealed to the container around the opening to close off same. The strip contains an unsealed tab portion at one end thereof which normally lies flat against the container wall and may be easily lifted by hand and pulled to break the seal with the wall of the container and to expose the opening.

The cutting device (100, 300) is characterized in that the inclination of the line on which the teeth (130) of each cutting edge section are located is selected such that, in the case of at least approximately maximum deformation of the plastics film before the latter is perforated by the front-most tooth, at least two following teeth of the same cutting edge section (120) are in direct contact with the plastics film.

摘要： A tab for use with an easy-open can end, which is made free from any protrusion with a cut edge thereon that would otherwise contact a finger or a lip of the user without a increasing the number of manufacturing steps to complete the tab. A tab having a body, a nose end with a tip, an opposite grip end, and an island formed within the tab body and attached to the nose end along a hinge, the island including a rivet hole for receiving a rivet on a can end panel to attach the tab to the end panel. The tab body is joined to a carrier strip, from which the tabs are made, by a joint formed in a tab making process. In a tab severing process, the joint is cut off to sever the tab from the strip, leaving a protrusion on the tab with a cut edge. The tip of the nose has a gap into which the protrusion can be bent or curled, to guard the cut edge, as the tab is moved to attach the island to the end panel with a rivet. When the tab is lowered in the downward passage, the swing arm moves to cause the curling surface to press the tab and curl the protrusion onto the tab.

摘要： A twist-off can end assembly has a cylindrical can body and a lid assembly. The lid assembly includes a joined lid and collar. When an open end of the can body is closed by the lid assembly, a sealing lip on the collar engages a flange on the can body to form a hermetic seal. An annular chamber adjacent the sealing lip is formed by the collar and flange. When pressure of the contents within the can body increase to a predetermined amount, gas escapes from the can interior to the annular chamber. When pressure within this annular chamber increases, the lip deforms to increase the seal between the lid assembly and can body. Therefore, a self-sealing can arrangement is obtained. The lid assembly can be readily unscrewed from the can body.

摘要： Described is a container for liquids with a tube (1) formed by a longitudinal sealing weld (4), at the ends of which bottom and lid (8) are arranged. The lid (8) consists of thermoplastic material without supporting material and is attached by injection moulding to the tube 1 along its upper edge. Furthermore, the lid (8) is provided with a pouring device (22), whereby the tube 1 consists of cardboard covered on both sides with thermoplastic material, the bottom is quadrangular and is formed as folded closure from the folded tube (1) of the container. To facilitate easier opening and that preferably the closing cap can be kept open, but can also be closed again, the invention envisages that the tube (1) has a quadrangular cross-section along its total height, that the paper fibres of the cardboard are arranged crosswise to the longitudinal sealing weld (4), that the latter is arranged close to an edge (5) of the tube (1), that the lid (8) is quandrangular when viewed from above and the pouring device (22) with molded-on handle 14 is arranged within the quadrangular outer contour of the container.

摘要： A can comprising a barrel, an upper lid and a lower lid bonded to the barrel. Both the upper and lower lids comprise a gas liquid impermeable barrier layer, preferably aluminum foil, and resin layers heat fused to both sides thereof. Another resin layer is bonded to the exterior of the lids, with the upper lids having a tab and score to be perforated by the tab built into the resin layer. According to the invention, the yield strength of the top lid is made greater than that of the lower lid to prevent breaking of the score if the can is dropped. The differential strength may be accomplished by making the barrier layer of the top lid greater than that of the bottom lid.

摘要： An opener structure for a container includes a slidable plate juxtaposed against an external wall of the container. Retainer devices such as rivets retain the plate against the wall but permit relative sliding between the wall and the plate. A resilient punch supported from the plate rests on a shelf defined by the wall. A region of weakness lies adjacent the shelf so that if the plate slides away from the shelf, the punch will pierce the line of weakness and rupture it. A lever is provided to cause the plate to slide away from the shelf.
