Abstract:
The feeding of plastic sheet material to a trim press is carried out utilizing an endless belt conveyor which supports and drives the plastic sheet in a manner which is coordinated with the cycle of drawing of the sheet material into the trim press dies. The surface of the conveyor belt supports the plastic sheet for upward movement with little or no dragging of the sheet material, and the position of the plastic sheet being engaged with the conveyor can be set by an operator utilizing guide plates and guide wheels located at a position near the intake end of the conveyor. The conveyor belt may be driven continuously at a rate corresponding to the rate at which plastic sheet is drawn into the trim press, or in intermittent motion by a motor in a manner that is coordinated with the intermittent feeding of the sheet material into the trim press.
Abstract:
A conveyance mechanism includes: a lower conveyance guide disposed below an inclined conveyance path having an upward inclination or a downward inclination with which a sheet material is to be conveyed, and to guide a lower surface of the sheet material; an upper conveyance guide located above the inclined conveyance path, and to guide an upper surface of the sheet-shaped material, the upper conveyance guide being openable and closable about a rotation shaft, which is disposed on a side of the inclined conveyance path in a direction of a width of the inclined conveyance path so as to extend along the inclined conveyance path; and a first urging member to urge a portion of the upper conveyance guide away from the rotation shaft in the direction of the width of the inclined conveyance path toward the rotation shaft, the portion of the upper conveyance guide away from the rotation shaft being at an upper end of the upper conveyance guide in an inclined direction.
Abstract:
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet storing tray for loading sheets, an apparatus main body to which the sheet storing tray is slidably attached, and a restriction mechanism that restricts a position of the sheet storing tray. The restriction mechanism includes an engagement portion provided in the apparatus main body and a stopper member that is provided in the sheet storing tray and engages with the engagement portion. The stopper member is configured so as to be movable in a crossing direction crossing a direction in which the sheet storing tray slides and determines a position in the crossing direction of the sheet storing tray with respect to the apparatus main body.
Abstract:
A device (1) is for guiding printer (20). The device (1) is utilized in a method for using a handheld electronic printer (20) with the device (1). The device (1) includes a base (2) having at least one guide (5), and a carriage (3) having at least two separate links (26, 27) engaged with the at least one guide (5). The at least one guide (5) has at least two linear sections (7, 8) being spaced apart and parallel. The at least one guide (5) includes at least two changeover sections (10, 11), each connecting two linear sections (7, 8). The changeover sections (10, 11) are arranged at different positions of the linear sections (7, 8) the changeover sections respectively connect.
Abstract:
A slider moving in a sliding direction between first and second positions shifts a second path-defining member, relative to a first path-defining member, between first and second states. A pair of movable members each disposed on a corresponding side of a slider in a width direction is movable individually in the sliding direction to shift between third and fourth states. The movable members, when both in the third state, position the slider to the first position and, when both in the fourth state, position the slider to the second position. Each movable member supports a corresponding widthwise end of the slider immovably in the sliding direction and movably in the width direction. A support frame supporting the second path-defining member supports a widthwise central portion of the slider movably in the sliding direction and rotatably on a plane parallel to the sliding direction and the width direction.
Abstract:
An apparatus for feeding a plurality of stacked currency bills into a currency handling device. The apparatus may comprise an input receptacle being configured to receive a plurality of stacked currency bills, the receptacle having a first side and a second opposing side, a front end, and an opposing back end. The apparatus further may comprise a first paddle rail disposed adjacent the first side and a first paddle assembly slidably coupled to the first paddle rail, the first paddle assembly having a portion configured to contact a stack of a plurality of bills residing in the input receptacle. The apparatus further may comprise a first resilient member coupled to the first paddle assembly, the first resilient member being configured to bias the first paddle assembly towards the front end of the receptacle, the first resilient member being configured to cause the first paddle assembly to move in a direction toward the front end of the input receptacle at a first average rate of speed when unrestrained and undamped. The apparatus further may comprise a first damping mechanism configured to slow the unrestrained, average rate of speed the first paddle assembly from the first average rate of speed to a second average rate of speed which is less the first average rate of speed.
Abstract:
A media cassette housing system, which may be usable in an image formation apparatus such as a printer or copier, includes: a guide member configured to guide an insertion of a media cassette from an entrance into an installed position of a cassette housing unit and to guide a pulling out of the media cassette from the installed position to the entrance of the cassette housing unit; and a swingable member provided to the guide member and swingable in inserting and pulling directions of the media cassette. The swingable member includes a slide guide surface configured to come into sliding contact with a slide surface of the media cassette upon the insertion and pulling of the medium cassette.

Abstract:
A sheet guide apparatus including a sheet tray in which a sheet is placed and a side guide having an abutting portion that abuts the sheet placed in the sheet tray. The sheet tray includes a groove formed along a direction perpendicular to an abutting surface of the abutting portion against the sheet. The side guide includes a sliding portion having slidable portions slidable on side walls of the groove, and is capable of moving along a groove direction when the sliding portion is slid on the side walls. The groove includes at least one first groove area and at least one second groove area. The second groove area has a groove width smaller than a groove width of the first groove area and allows the slidable portions of the sliding portion to be slid in the second groove area.
