摘要: An electrochemical system includes an electrochemical device having a stack of elementary electrochemical cells each including an electrolyte interposed between a cathode and an anode; ducts for supplying the anodes and the cathodes with gas and for collecting the gases generated by the latter; an enclosure having the electrochemical device housed therein and including at least one inlet duct and one outlet duct to circulate an air flow in the enclosure; and a circuit for analyzing the air in the enclosure. The circuit includes a sensor capable of measuring an oxygen content present in the outlet duct of the enclosure; and an analysis unit capable of diagnosing a leak of the device when the measured oxygen content differs from a predetermined oxygen content in the inlet duct of the enclosure.

摘要: An electrolytic cell, system, and method for the energy efficient electrochemical treatment of wastewater comprising organic and/or inorganic pollutants are disclosed. The system comprises an electrolytic cell comprising a solid polymer, proton exchange membrane electrolyte operating without catholyte or other supporting electrolyte. The electrolytic cell also comprises a filter layer incorporated between the anode fluid delivery layer and the anode flow field plate for removing various contaminants including particulates and/or suspended solids from the wastewater stream. The cell design and operating conditions chosen provide for significantly greater operating efficiency.

摘要: Electrolytic cartridges for, systems for, and methods of electrolyzing a brine solution of water and an alkali salt to produce acidic electrolyzed water and alkaline electrolyzed water are provided. The system includes an internal chamber for receiving the brine solution and at least two electrolytic cartridges immersed in a brine bath. Each electrolytic cartridge includes an electrode, an ion selective membrane disposed on a side of the electrode so as to define a space adjacent to at least a portion of the electrode, a permeable insert covering the ion selective membrane on a side opposite the space, and a bonding plate disposed on the permeable insert on a side opposite the side facing the ion selective membrane. The methods recycle at least a portion of alkaline electrolyzed water into the feed of a cartridge having a positively charged electrode.

摘要: A pressure releasing method in a water electrolysis system including a water electrolyzer, the pressure releasing method includes operating the water electrolyzer to electrolyze water to produce oxygen with a first pressure on an anode side and hydrogen with a second pressure higher than the first pressure on the cathode side. It is determined whether the water electrolyzer is in a frozen environment when the water electrolysis system stops operating. The cathode side is depressurized without suppling a depressurizing current to the water electrolyzer if it is determined that the water electrolyzer is in the frozen environment, or with suppling the depressurizing current to the water electrolyzer if it is determined that the water electrolyzer is not in the frozen environment.
