    摘要: The invention relates to a process for sealing an above-ground or underground construction. In particular it involves the use of non-reactive hot melt adhesives and flexible polyolefin films. This procedure in particular has the advantages that good and long-lasting adhesion can be achieved very quickly, and that in particular by using polyolefin strips coated with non-reactive hot melt adhesives, insulating strips can be obtained simply which are non-tacky at room temperature and can be processed and bonded easily at the construction site.

    摘要: A method of making a sheet of building material, useful for roofing or siding applications, and the sheet material made by such method. A mixture of a thermoplastic resin and mineral filler is prepared, the resin comprising about 10% to 40% by weight of the mixture and the filler comprising about 60% to 90% by weight. The mixture is mixed at a temperature above the melting point of the resin and is formed into a sheet at such temperature. The sheet is allowed to cool until the surface is at a temperature below the midpoint of the melting range of the thermoplastic resin, e.g. in the range of 205 to 225 degrees F. for polyethylene, at which point it is strained by passing it through calendering rollers. The sheet material made by this process, having a high concentration of mineral filler, is fire resistant, durable, ductile, of moderate weight and resistant to weathering. It can be produced using relatively inexpensive manufacturing equipment. The sheet material can incorporate a high proportion of recycled resin, such as recycled high density polyethylene.

    摘要: The invention relates to a membrane including a partition layer, wherein the partition layer contains at least 50 wt % of PVC, and a barrier layer. The barrier layer can be a barrier layer, wherein the barrier layer has a polyamide layer containing more than 50 wt % of copolymer, wherein said polyamide layer is connected to the partition layer by a polyurethane layer, wherein the polyurethane layer contains more than 10 wt % of polyurethane. Alternatively, the barrier layer can be a barrier layer, wherein the barrier layer is made of a composition containing 5-50 wt % of polyurethane and 50-95 wt % of copolymer. The membranes according to the invention have significantly lower plasticizer migration compared to the membranes of the prior art and are characterized by improved aging resistance, in particular with regard to the adhesion of the barrier layer to the partition layer, and impermeability to moisture.
