摘要： Provided herein include methods and compositions pertaining to coatings, such as paints, for covering a substrate. In some aspects and embodiments the coatings may include a heat reflective metal oxide pigment that, applied to an external surface of a building (or is applied on a substrate used for an external surface of a building such as an architectural metal panel, EIFS, as a stucco top coat or as a top coat for roofing tiles) reduces the energy consumption in the building. In other aspects and embodiments, provided are textured coatings having a texturing material; for example, methods and compositions are provided pertaining to textured coatings that can be applied robotically or in an automated fashion. In various aspects and embodiments, textured coatings are provided that include a texturing material and a heat reflective metal oxide pigment. In some aspects and embodiments heat reflective coatings for concrete or clay tiles and methods of applying such are provided.

摘要： A radiant barrier system may reduce heat flow into a structure. A radiant barrier system may include at least one internal airspace positioned between at least two radiant barrier layers having a reflectivity rating of at least 90%, the at least two radiant barrier layers comprising a layer positioned on top of the at least one internal airspace that reduces radiant heat flow by emissivity and a layer positioned below the at least one internal airspace that reduces radiant heat flow by reflectivity. A radiant barrier system may be incorporated between roofing products such as flexible roofing underlayments, sheet goods (i.e., plastic, metal or fiberglass), and wood products (i.e., plywood or oriented strand board (OSB)) and combinations thereof A radiant barrier system also may be integrated into wall products.

The articles can be laminates of colored or reflective layers on uncolored or other layers, or one or more colored layer having colored fluidizable particles are dispersed within the surface of the uppermost composite layer or having either the colored fluidizable particles or the granules are dispersed on the surface of the composite layer or are adhered thereto with a thermoplastic resin. Roofing shingles are provided.
