One embodiment provides a data processing detection system having an embedding apparatus for adding a predetermined additional signal to digital content, including a watermark design unit and embedding signal generators for generating multiple types of additional signals, correlated with each other and of differing robustness from each other for the processing of the content data, and a synthesis unit for adding the multiple types of additional signals to the content data; and detection apparatus for detecting additional signals in the digital content, and for detecting the additional signals embedded by the embedding apparatus, including an individual detector for detecting in the content data multiple additional signals, and a determination unit for examining deterioration levels of the additional signals to determine the type of processing performed for the content data.

    摘要： Information available at a decoder is embedded into image content after decoding by first representing that information by at least one film grain pattern and then blending that at least one film grain pattern with the decoded image content. Such image content is typically in the form of a movie and examples of the information to be embedded include identification of the specific decoding device, the user of the decoding device, the time and date of decoding, the model number of the device, the versions of software running on the device, the status of the device or connections to the device, the contents of device registers or memory locations within the device, among many other possible data. When an unauthorized copy of image content is discovered, the copied image content undergoes a comparison to the decoded image content to generate difference data. Thereafter, the difference data undergoes comparison with a database of film grain patterns to recover the embedded data.

A digital signature providing section provides sender's digital signatures to the image areas according to degrees of secrecy. An image file creating section creates an image file including image areas with the sender's digital signatures provided by the digital signature providing section and a sending section sends the image file to a receiving section. A digital signature acquiring section acquires receiver's digital signatures for restricting image areas to be presented to a user. An image area selecting section selects image areas to be presented to the user in accordance with the sender's digital signatures in the image file received by the receiving section and the receiver's digital signatures acquired by the digital signature acquiring section. An output section outputs image areas selected by the image area selecting section.
