    摘要: A process for producing inorganic spheres, which comprises injecting an aqueous liquid containing an inorganic compound into a laminar flow of an organic liquid which runs at a flow rate of from 0.001 to 2 m/s in a flow path compartmentalized by a partition wall through a plurality of inlet holes formed in one partition wall to form a W/O type emulsion containing the organic liquid as a dispersion medium and the aqueous liquid containing the inorganic compound as a dispersed phase, and solidifying the aqueous liquid containing an inorganic compound in the W/O type emulsion, wherein the partition wall having a plurality of inlet holes is made of a metal sheet having a surface subjected to water repellent treatment.

    摘要: The invention provides an apparatus for building a three-dimensional article in sequential cross-sectional layers, which apparatus comprises: a powder delivery system comprising one or more reservoirs for delivering a powder and a powder spreading system; a printing system for delivering a liquid; a build chamber comprising a outer wall, an inner wall and a build platform which is movable along the inner wall of the build chamber; and a powder recovery system; wherein more than 25% of the outer wall of the build chamber is in communication with the powder recovery system and/or the build platform is capable of releasing unused powder (directly) from the build chamber in a downward direction into the powder recovery system. The invention further provides a method building a three-dimensional article wherein use is made of said apparatus.

    摘要: A method of fabricating a preformed core material by utilizing a particulate preform process. The particulate core material is combined with an adhesive binder and deposited upon a porous surface, through which air is drawn, having the desired preform shape. Once the adhesive sets the deposited layer of core material is removed from the porous surface and may be used as a core in a closed molding process. This method may also be used to fabricate a preformed laminate by depositing layers of fiber material before and/or after a core material is deposited.

    摘要: A process of producing an asphalt-impregnated fiberboard comprises the steps of forming an aqueous slurry of a fibrous material and asphalt, the solids content of the slurry being less than about 8 weight percent, mixing the slurry to uniformly distribute its components, dewatering the slurry to form a wet mat, pressing the wet mat to consolidate it, and drying the consolidated wet mat. Fiberboards made by the process can be employed as durable resilient expansion joints between various types of structural members.

    摘要: The present invention is for method and means by the manufacture of a product of expanded polymer, by which is obtained a weight per unit volume which is essentially lower than that of homogeneous expanded material. The starting material according to the invention can be either a specifically manufactured starting material or scrap and recovered material. The pieces of expanded polymer are supplied in controlled quantities through a feeder to a space for the application of glue drops which are sprayed into the space from one or more dies. In the space the pieces of polymer are dried by means of micro-wave energy which is obtained from an energy generator and magnetrones. The dried pieces then are discarded from the space together with the air flow through the opening. By the manufacture of a product according to the invention one starts from the pieces with glue applied to them as described above. The pieces are put into a mould wherein they are pressed against each other. Thereupon the material is heated so that the glue becomes sticky and the pieces attach to each other. The heating is done by means of microwave energy which finds its way into and homogeneously heats the whole volume of material.
