Abstract:
Dry construction pellets that may be made by mixing predetermined portions of two or more components of cementitious materials without ingredients that would allow the mixture to cure, and separating the un-curable mixture of the two or more components into a plurality of pellets, each having substantially the predetermined portions of the two or more components. An extrusion system may include a transport line configured to transport the dry pellets in a gaseous transport stream.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to cement-based coating compositions providing a stable, hard, fast setting and drying cement coating. In particular, the cement-based coating includes a low-flashing, VOC-exempt solvent in combination with cement materials, aggregates, resins and other optional components. Methods of making, application and use of the cement coating composition are further disclosed herein.
Abstract:
Cement dispersion agents composed of water-soluble vinyl copolymers obtained by aqueous solution radical polymerization of five specified kinds of monomers at a ratio within a specified range can provide improved fluidity to high-strength hardened concrete and mortar with extremely low water-to-cement ratio.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a sulfonated dispersant from a petroleum asphalt fraction, comprising:establishing contact between the asphalt fraction dissolved in an inert solvent and liquid or gaseous sulfur trioxide at a temperature equal to or less than 60.degree. C., to obtain a sulfonated asphalt fraction;salifying the sulfonated asphalt fraction thus obtained by contact with an aqueous solution of a hydroxide of an alkaline metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium and recovering the sulfonated salt from the reaction mixture. This process provides water-soluble sulfonated salts of petroleum asphalt fractions, which can be used as fluidifying and stabilizing agents for aqueous dispersions of solids, such as aqueous dispersions of coal or cement.
Abstract:
Anthraquinone-azo pyridone-containing compounds which in one of their tautomeric structures, correspond to the formula ##STR1## in which A denotes an .alpha.-anthraquinone radical which is free from sulphonic acid groups and is unsubstituted or substituted and preferably consists of at most 5 fused rings;R.sub.1 denotes hydrogen; alkyl, preferably C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl; aryl, preferably phenyl or naphthyl; carboxyl; carboxylic acid ester, preferably carboxylic acid C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl ester; or hydroxyl andR.sub.2 denotes hydrogen; halogen; nitro; cyano; unsubstituted or substituted carbamoyl or sulphamoyl; alkylcarbonyl, in particular (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-carbonyl; alkoxycarbonyl, in particular (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy)-carbonyl; alkyl- or unsubstituted or substituted aryl-sulphone, preferably C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-sulphone or unsubstituted or substituted phenylsulphone; or a hetero-aromatic radical, for example, a radical of the formula ##STR2## or of the formula ##STR3## Such anthraquinone-azo compounds, because of their fastness to light and migration, are suitable for use in producing fast pigmented systems.
Abstract:
The present invention provides substantially water free aluminate cement paste compositions that exhibit improved freeze thaw resistance and are storage stable upon being activated on admixture with water or an aqueous liquid. The compositions comprise a deep eutectic solvent mixture of a polar organic carrier component, preferably, glycerol or another hydrogen donor, and an anhydrous cation containing component, such as a metal salt or an onium compound in a paste with an aluminate cement. The compositions can be kept for as long as 30 days or more at room temperature without stabilization and then used to make cementitious coating layers or waterproofing membranes.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to water repellent coating compositions, kits and methods of applying the same, for use as fireproofing materials. The water repellent spray applied fire resistant material contains an latex polymer(s), such as a vinyl acetate/ethylene copolymer, a silicone, such as methoxy-functional polysiloxane, or both to reduce or eliminate the effect of water damage to the SFRM and underlying substrate.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to corrosion resistant coating compositions, kits and methods of applying the same, for use as fireproofing materials. The corrosion resistant spray applied fire resistant material contains an organic corrosion inhibitors, such as an aldonic acid, benzoic acid, or combinations thereof, to reduce or eliminate corrosion of the underlying substrate.
Abstract:
The invention provides for the use of coating compositions based on one or more mineral binders, one or more polymers, one or more fillers, and, if desired, one or more additives for producing roof coatings, the coating compositions comprising at least 50% by weight of polymers, based on the dry weight of the polymers and of the mineral binders.
