    摘要: A method of shifting a vehicle drive-train transmission having frictional and interlocking shifting elements which are engageable to obtain various gears. When shifting from a current gear to a target gear, in which the interlocking shifting element is engaged, if after the shift starts it becomes necessary to engage the current gear in the transmission while engaging the interlocking shifting element, a current operating condition of the interlocking shifting element is determined. If the current operating condition of the interlocking shifting element indicates that engagement can be interrupted and the interlocking shifting element can be disengaged, the interlocking shifting element is disengaged. If the current operating condition of the interlocking shifting element indicates that engagement of the interlocking shifting element has to be carried out and the interlocking shifting element engaged, then the interlocking shifting element is engaged and/or the force flow in the transmission device is interrupted.

As a result, a creep torque is maintained for a predetermined period of time after a shift range of a vehicle with an automatic transmission is changed, and any jolt or unpleasant feeling experienced by occupants of the vehicle due to an impact can be minimized.

    摘要: In an arrangement for controlling an automatically shifting transmission, as a result of a corresponding programming of an electric control device, when actuating a second selecting device, starting from the automatic mode, first an immediate upshifting or downshifting can be prompted and is permitted unless prevented by a specified condition. In the case of a brief actuation, a first or further immediate upshifting and/or downshifting can be prompted and the current or thereby reached gear will be maintained until, first, the duration of the actuation has reached the specific minimum duration and, second, the actuation of the selecting device was terminated. When the second selecting device has a first operating element for the manual triggering of an upshift command and a second operating element for the manual triggering of a downshift command, the event controlling the return to the automatic mode may be the recognition of the simultaneously present commands downshifting and upshifting. After a first actuation of the second selecting device for the purpose of a manually prompted immediate up- or downshifting, a transition may immediately take place to the automatic gear change control according to the automatic mode, if subsequently thereto, an actuation of the second selecting device for the purpose of a gear change in a direction opposite thereto takes place within a comparatively brief time window.

    摘要: A method of controlling shifts in a multi-speed transmission includes beginning an initial shift, which changes the transmission from a starting gear to an initial target gear, and executing an adjusted shift, which changes the transmission to an adjusted target gear having higher speed ratio than the initial target gear, when transition conditions are satisfied. The transition conditions include a threshold increase in torque request, which is sufficient to require the transmission to be placed into the adjusted target gear. The transition conditions also include a common controlling clutch, which is partially engaged during the initial shift and the adjusted shift and is an off-going clutch to place the transmission in the adjusted target gear. Executing the adjusted shift does not include placing the transmission in a neutral mode. Furthermore, executing the adjusted shift does not include completing the initial shift.

    摘要: A system and method are provided for grade-based anti-hunt shift control of an automatic transmission powering a machine. A shift controller determines a recommended gear in which to operate the transmission and sets an anti-hunt timer upon recommending a shift from a first gear to a second gear. The anti-hunt timer prevents a subsequent shift back to the first gear while the anti-hunt timer is running. A grade-based controller is configured to track machine operation and to determine when the machine operational factors change such that an estimated steady state gear differs from the second gear. When such a change is encountered, the grade-based controller clears the anti-hunt timer and sets a secondary timer. The clearing of the anti-hunt timer allows a downshift to accommodate the detected grade while the setting of the secondary timer prevents a subsequent clearing of the anti-hunt timer while the secondary timer is running.
