摘要: An inertial head-tracking system includes light emitting diodes (LEDs) and photoreceptors. The LEDs and photoreceptors are positioned around the environment and helmet respectively. A processor periodically receives measurements from the photoreceptors and resets inertial drift based on those measurements. Either the LEDs or the photoreceptors are constrained to a specified range to allow for more accurate drift estimation.

摘要: A test device determines a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal propagation delay in a GNSS signal distribution system (GSDS) for a radio access network. The test device includes a GNSS receiver and a clock. The GNSS receiver is connected at different times to a reference GSDS with a known signal propagation delay and to a device under test (DUT), including a second GSDS having an unknown signal propagation delay. One pulse per second (1PPS) signals are generated by the GNSS receiver and are compared to determine the unknown signal propagation delay of the DUT.

摘要: In accordance with an embodiment, an ultrasound transmitter device includes a transformer comprising a secondary winding configured to be coupled to a piezoelectric transducer; a plurality of transistors coupled to the primary winding of the transformer and to a ground terminal via a sense resistor; an amplifier having an output coupled to control nodes of the plurality of transistors, a first input coupled to the sense resistor, and second input coupled to a reference resistor; a switching circuit configured to alternately couple control nodes of the plurality of transistors to an output of amplifier and to a reference node via complementary pulse signals, wherein the switching circuit is configured to turn on and turn off the plurality of transistors and operate the plurality of transistors in a push-pull manner; and a digital-to-analog converter having an output coupled to the reference resistor.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods for ultrasonic imaging by sparse sampling are provided. In one embodiment, an ultrasound imaging system comprises an array of ultrasound transducer elements, electronic circuitry in communication with the array of ultrasound transducer elements and configured to select a first receive aperture of the array comprising a plurality of contiguous ultrasound transducer elements and at least one non-contiguous ultrasound transducer element, and a beamformer in communication with the electronic circuitry. Each ultrasound transducer element of the first receive aperture is configured to receive reflected ultrasound echoes and generate an electrical signal representative of imaging data. The beamformer is configured to receive the electrical signals generated by the first receive aperture and apply different weight to the electrical signals generated by the contiguous ultrasound transducer elements and the electrical signal generated by the at least one non-contiguous ultrasound transducer element.

摘要: Systems and methods are described to identify motion events on a sloped surface, such as a mountainside, using transmitted and received radio frequency (RF) chirps. A one-dimensional array of receive antennas can be digitally beamformed to determine azimuth information of received reflected chirps. Elevation information can be determined based on time-of-flight measurements of received reflected chirps and known distances to locations on the sloped surface. Motion events may be characterized by deviations in return power levels and/or return phase shifts. The systems and methods may, for example, be used to provide real-time detection of avalanches and/or landslides.

摘要: A device that uses two intensity modulated frequency combs to measure distances with high precision and high data acquisition rate without any moving parts and without length ambiguity that is inherent conventional ranging based on two frequency combs. A modulation signal having a repetition rate identical to the repetition rate difference between the two combs is used to do a direct time-of-flight length measurement, hence avoiding the given length ambiguity while harvesting the increased precision of the dual-comb approach.
