    摘要: An electron gun for a color cathode-ray tube for providing a passage for a plurality of electron beams, each beam representing a color component for forming a color image. The electron gun of the present invention includes a pair of electrodes substantially symmetrical to one another with respect to the horizontal direction and coaxial with the tube in the axial direction. Each electrode has a common opening. Each common opening faces the other and is spaced from the other at a given distance in the axial direction. According to an embodiment of the present invention, each electrode includes first and second electrode member. The first electrode member inside the electrode is spaced at a given distance from the common opening of the electrode in the axial direction. The first electrode member includes a plurality of openings in cascade in the horizontal direction, and these openings partially overlap one another and communicate to one another collectively to form a singly aperture. Each opening corresponds to a respective one of the plurality of electron beams. The second electrode member inside the electrode is spaced from the first electrode member at a given distance in the axial direction and further away from the common opening of the electrode than the first electrode member.

    摘要: The display tube includes an electron gun (29) which directs a low energy electron beam (30) generally parallel to a flat faceplate (14) carrying a phosphor screen (16).     摘要: The present invention provides an improvement in color picture tubes. Such tubes include an electron gun for generating and directing three inline electron beams, a center beam and two side beams, along initially coplanar paths toward a screen of the tube. The gun includes a plurality of spaced electrodes which form a main focus lens for focusing the electron beams. The improvement comprises the plurality of spaced electrodes which form a main focus lens including four electrodes that form an einzel lens in the path of each electron beam. A first einzel lens electrode includes a first portion having three inline apertures that are set back from a second portion having a single large aperture through which all three electron beams pass. A second einzel lens electrode includes a first portion having three inline apertures that are set back from a second portion having a single large aperture through which all three electron beams pass. The second portion of the first einzel lens electrode faces the second portion of the second einzel lens electrode. A third einzel lens electrode includes a first portion having three inline apertures that are set back from a second portion having a single large aperture through which all three electron beams pass. A fourth einzel lens electrode includes a first portion having three inline apertures set back from a second portion having a single large aperture through which all three electron beams pass. The second portion of the third einzel lens electrode faces the second portion of the fourth einzel lens electrode. The first portion of the second einzel lens electrode and the first portion of the third einzel lens electrode face each other and include means for forming a quadrupole lens in the path of each electron beam therebetween.
