    摘要: A rear wheel steering device is provided in a vehicle with a simple structure in which rear wheels are supported at both end portions of a rear axle housing along a width direction of a chassis in order to drive the vehicle more stably at high speeds. The rear wheel steering device includes leaf spring devices connected to the chassis through first and second shackle links, respectively, and a rear wheel steering mechanism including an upper radius rod and a pair of lower radius rods, a pair of L-shaped levers, a connecting rod and a rear wheel steering actuator mounted on the chassis so that a rear wheel steering action can be smoothly and stably operated.

    摘要: A rough terrain vehicle comprises a chassis, a pair of driven steerable frontground wheels and a pair of driven steerable rear ground wheels mounted on the chassis, an engine on the chassis and an upper unit rotatably mounted on the chassis. A movable boom and an operator''s cab, in which vehicle and boom controls are located, are mounted on the upper unit. An electro-hydraulic steering system is provided and comprises, among other things, a separate steering cylinder for each of the four ground wheels, engine-driven hydraulic fluid pumps and a fluid reservoir, solenoid operated valves for controlling fluid flow to the steering cylinders and to certain other vehicle components, a steering wheel mechanism, and a selector switch. The selector switch and steering wheel mechanism are used cooperatively by the vehicle operator to enable three modes of steering, namely: normal steering in either direction using the front wheels only; tight steering in either direction using the front wheels and rear wheels turned in opposite directions; and crab steering in either direction using the front wheels and rear wheels turned in the same direction.

The portal box assembly includes: i) a housing having a rear wall, a front wall, and a side wall, wherein the rear wall includes a vehicle axle opening effective to receive the end of said CV axle, and wherein the front wall includes an output shaft opening effective to allow an output shaft to extend outward from the housing; ii) a linking mechanism housed in the housing and effective for linking a CV axle received in the vehicle axle opening to an output shaft; and iii) an output shaft operably connectable via the linking mechanism to the CV axle, and effective to rotate upon rotation of the stock axle.

    摘要: A steering system (10) for a vehicle wheel (12) has a wheel carrier (14) for mounting a steered wheel (12), the wheel carrier (14) being rotatably mounted with respect to the vehicle about a steering axis to allow the wheel (12) to be steered. A hydraulic cylinder (20) has a piston therein and a rigid connecting rod assembly (22) extending from the piston out of the cylinder (20). The rigid connecting rod assembly (22) comprises a first section (22) adapted to reciprocate into and out of the cylinder (20) and a second section (26) rigidly extending from the first section (22) to a pivot point connection (50) where it is pivotally connected to the wheel carrier (14) at an offset from the steering axis. The hydraulic cylinder (20) is pivotally mounted on the vehicle such that it is prevented from translational movement relative to the vehicle but capable of changing its orientation with respect to the vehicle. Due to the rigid connecting rod assembly (22) and the pivot connection to the wheel carrier (14), as well as the pivotal mounting of the cylinder (20) on the vehicle, lateral strains on the seals of the hydraulic cylinder (20) are avoided.

    摘要: A compound steering mechanism for use on a compact tractor is disclosed wherein the chassis is provided with alternate mounts for the selective connection of the inboard tie rod ends at transversely spaced apart locations. The inboard ends of the tie rods are pivotally connected to a triangular mounting plate that is detachably connectable to a selected one of the alternative chassis mounts to vary the transverse spacing of the inboard ends of the respective tie rods. Greater lateral spacing is utilized whenever additional clearance is required for the swinging motion of a PTO shaft connected to an implement mounted to the laterally movable front axle. The smaller lateral spacing is otherwise selected to keep the tie rods as long as possible and, thereby, minimize angular deflection in the tie rod ball joints when the front axle oscillates.
