摘要: Calibrating an unstable sensor of a mobile device. Systems and methods for calibrating a sensor of a mobile device determine a first estimated position of the mobile device without using any measurement from the sensor of the mobile device, generate a second estimated position of the mobile device using a measurement from the sensor, estimate a sensor error of the sensor using the first estimated position and the second estimated position, and use the sensor error to determine a calibration value for adjusting one or more measurements from the sensor.

摘要: An elastically supported electrode substrate for detecting unbalanced mass of a resonant gyroscope includes an outer frame and an inner structure. A connection part configured to be connected to an anchor of a resonator is arranged at the center of the inner structure, and electrodes are distributed on the inner structure. The inner structure is connected inside the outer frame through elastic beams, and the inner structure has torsional and/or translational resonant modes inside the outer frame. The resonant frequency of the inner structure approaches resonant frequency of an operating mode of the resonator. Since the resonant frequency of the elastically supported electrode substrate approaches the resonant frequency of the operating mode of the resonator, the vibration displacement induced by the unbalanced mass of the elastically supported electrode substrate can be significantly magnified to improve the detection sensitivity.

An Allan variance is calculated as the characteristics of each of the plurality of sensors. A time window length for an Allan variance is specified as a condition used when the observation values of the plurality of sensors are combined. A weight for each of the plurality of sensors is calculated such that a sum of the Allan variances for the specified time window length is smallest. The respective observation values of the plurality of sensors are combined using a sum of products of the observation values of the plurality of sensors and the weights calculated for each corresponding sensor of the plurality of sensors.

摘要: A microelectromechanical gyroscope includes: the support structure; a sensing mass, coupled to the support structure with degrees of freedom along a driving direction and a sensing direction perpendicular to each other; and a calibration structure facing the sensing mass and separated from the sensing mass by a gap having an average width, the calibration structure being movable with respect to the sensing mass so that displacements of the calibration structure cause variations in the average width of the gap. A calibration actuator controls a relative position of the calibration structure with respect to the sensing mass and the average width of the gap.

摘要: A multi-axis MEMS gyroscope includes a micromechanical detection structure having a substrate, a driving-mass arrangement, a driven-mass arrangement with a central window, and a sensing-mass arrangement which undergoes sensing movements in the presence of angular velocities about a first horizontal axis and a second horizontal axis. A sensing-electrode arrangement is fixed with respect to the substrate and is set underneath the sensing-mass arrangement. An anchorage assembly is set within the central window for constraining the driven-mass arrangement to the substrate at anchorage elements. The anchorage assembly includes a rigid structure suspended above the substrate that is elastically coupled to the driven mass by elastic connection elements at a central portion, and is coupled to the anchorage elements by elastic decoupling elements at end portions thereof.

The assembly is coupled on a vehicle, and the plurality of assembly sensors are calibrated after coupling the assembly on the vehicle. Calibrating the plurality of assembly sensors after installing the assembly on the vehicle includes causing the vehicle to move relative to the plurality of calibration targets and using the plurality of assembly sensors to make measurements using the plurality of calibration targets.

摘要: A precision gyroscope which provides mode matching which is insensitive to rate input in response to continuously monitoring the split between the resonances of the drive and sense modes. A calibration signal, having at least one modulated term whose carrier is synchronous with the excitation in the drive resonator is utilized to modify the feedback signal in the sense resonator. The gyroscope thus does not suffer from corruption of, or from, the rate measurement; whereas the frequency of the calibration signal can be chosen independently of the bandwidth of the rate input.

摘要: A survey instrument comprising a single point measurement unit, a point cloud measuring module, and a computing unit. The survey instrument is configured to execute a calibration using object edges in the setting. The single point measurement unit acquires a set of single measuring points including at least two on each flat surfaces of the object edges.
