Abstract: An image decoding method is disclosed in the present specification. An image decoding method according to the present invention may comprise deriving a candidate list for inter-prediction of a current block, deriving motion information of the current block by using the candidate list, deriving a cumulative coding information candidate by using the motion information of the current block, inserting the derived cumulative coding information candidate into a cumulative coding information candidate list and updating the candidate list by using the cumulative coding information candidate list, wherein the updated candidate list is used for inter-prediction of a block to be decoded after the current block.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an image encoding/decoding method and apparatus. The image decoding method includes obtaining symmetric motion vector difference mode availability information from a bitstream, obtaining first prediction direction's zero motion vector difference information from the bitstream, obtaining symmetric motion vector difference mode information of a current block from the bitstream on the basis of the symmetric motion vector difference mode availability information and the first prediction direction's zero motion vector difference information, obtaining first prediction direction's reference picture index information, second prediction direction's reference picture index information and a first prediction direction's motion vector difference value on the basis of the symmetric motion vector difference mode information, and generating a prediction block of the current block by using at least one of the first prediction direction's reference picture index information, the second prediction direction's reference picture index information and the first prediction direction's motion vector difference value.

Abstract: The present invention relates to image processing, and more particularly, to a video coding/decoding method using a clipped motion vector and an apparatus thereof. An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of decoding an image. The method includes clipping a motion vector of a reference picture in a predetermined dynamic range to generate a clipped motion vector, storing the clipped motion vector in a buffer, deriving a motion vector of a coding treeblock using the motion vector stored in the buffer, and performing inter prediction decoding process using the motion vector of the coding treeblock. According to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a size of a memory required for storing motion vectors may be reduced.

Abstract: According to the present invention, an image encoding apparatus comprises: a motion prediction unit which derives motion information on a current block in the form of the motion information including L0 motion information and L1 motion information; a motion compensation unit which performs a motion compensation for the current block on the basis of at least one of the L0 motion information and L1 motion information so as to generate a prediction block corresponding to the current block; and a restoration block generating unit which generates a restoration block corresponding to the current block based on the prediction block. According to the present invention, image encoding efficiency can be improved.
