Abstract:
Provided herein is a method of treating rheumatoid arthritis using a CD24 protein. The CD24 protein may include mature human or mouse CD24, as well as a N- or C-terminally fused portion of a mammalian immunoglobulin.
Abstract:
A method for managing haul routes in work environments comprises collecting performance data associated with a machine operating in a work environment. The method also includes determining a drive axle torque of the machine and estimating a total effective grade associated with the machine based on the drive axle torque. The estimated total effective grade is compared with a threshold level and, if the estimated total effective grade exceeds the threshold level, a design performance of the machine may be simulated based on the calculated total effective grade. Design performance data is compared with the collected performance data, and a payload limit of the machine is adjusted if the design performance is inconsistent with collected performance data.
Abstract:
A fan module includes a bracket, a mounting plate, and a fan fixed to the mounting plate. A first side of the mounting plate is pivotably attached to the bracket. A second side of the mounting plate can be fixed to different positions on the bracket.
Abstract:
The present invention relates, in general, to an immunogen for HIV vaccination and, in particular, to a method of inducing the production of protective anti-HIV antibodies by targeting B cell germline and clone intermediates using a combination of HIV envelope and non-HIV immunogens. The invention also relates to compositions suitable for use in such a method.
Abstract:
A setup module organizes a single software image for a management command. A process module creates a plurality of processes independently executing the management command on each of the plurality of devices from a management console. Each process employs the software image. A termination module ends the management command after each process has completed on each of the plurality of devices.
Abstract:
Described are automatically generated software deployment bookmarks that maintain information regarding events and/or triggers with respect to a network software deployment operation. The bookmarks are accessible and useable for evaluating the progress and state of the deployment. For example, a bookmark may be generated when deployment to a client machine succeeds, when a software deployment package is created and/or distributed, and for network component and/or membership state changes. A set of bookmarks may be used to generate a curve indicative of the deployment progress over time, and may be compared to previous progress of deploying other network software to client computer systems that is based on maintained performance history data.
Abstract:
A method for improving haul road surface conditions comprises collecting performance data associated with at least one machine operating on a haul route and determining a rolling resistance of each of the at least one machine based on the performance data. An average rolling resistance associated with one or more portions of the haul route is determined based on the rolling resistance of each of the at least one machine. The one or more portions of the haul route are identified as irregular if the average rolling resistance of the one or more portions exceeds a threshold resistance value. A proposed modification to the irregular portion of the haul route is generated, and performance of the at least one machine is simulated based on the proposed modification. The method also includes outputting results of the simulated performance.
Abstract:
In a method for implementing device grouping and interactions between grouped devices a device creating a device group sends an advertisement message carrying identification information of a device group to which it belongs, to the network. After receiving the advertisement message, a network device joins the device group by the corresponding advertisement message. When two grouped network devices interact with each other, the method further comprises: sending an access request to an accessed device; judging by the accessed device whether the device sending the request is a trusted device and if so, interacting by both parties with each other; otherwise, denying the access request, or determining by the initiating device and the accessed device, a common trusted third party; acquiring by the initiating device, key information of the accessed device from the common trusted third party, and interacting with the accessed device by using the acquired key information.
Abstract:
A gas turbine engine includes a turbine shell that is configured to retain a turbine rotor shroud adjacent to a turbine rotor blade. A heat pipe has a first end in thermal communication with the turbine shell and a second end extending outwardly of the shell. A heating/cooling system is in thermal communication with the second end of the heat pipe and has a thermal medium configurable to exchange thermal energy with the second end of the heat pipe. The thermal medium is configurable to remove thermal energy from the second end of the heat pipe to remove thermal energy from the turbine shell and is configurable to add thermal energy to the second end of the heat pipe to add thermal energy to the turbine shell.
Abstract:
A digital broadcasting system comprising of a digital broadcasting station, a set of digital broadcast receivers, and a switched network, wherein the digital broadcasting station transmits a digital signal to the set of digital broadcast receivers, and the digital broadcast receivers exchange error correction information with each other using the network to compensate errors in local receptions of the digital signal at each digital broadcast receiver location.
