Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering cross-site auto-play media are described herein. The server can receive, from a client device, a request for media content at a first domain embedded in a content element from a second domain. The request can include an identifier indicating that the client device is configured to restrict cross-domain redirection. The server can determine, responsive to identifying the identifier indicating that the client device is configured to restrict cross-domain redirection, that the request comprises a content type header having a first predetermined value. The server can generate, responsive to the determination, a response comprising the media content element in a body of the response. The server can transmit the response to the client device. Receipt of the response can cause the client device to extract the media content element from the body of the response and to render the media content element.

Abstract: A method includes, in one or more processing devices, executing instructions to perform operations that include outputting data for a first graphical user interface comprising a control mechanism for specifying an amount of content from a first content set to include in a second content set. The method also includes receiving, through the control mechanism, information indicative of the amount of content from the first content set to include in the second content set. The method also includes identifying content from the first content set based on a score that is adjusted in accordance with the information, and based on an author of the content being a member of a predefined group of individuals. The method also includes outputting data for a second graphical user interface comprising the second content set the second content set including the identified content.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for determining whether to execute a query based on a predicted computerized rendering period The method may include actions of receiving a query, determining a set of one or more features based on the query, generating a query vector, providing the query vector to a machine learning model, receiving first data, based on the output of the machine learning model, that is indicative of whether the computerized rendering period associated with the query is likely to satisfy the predetermined threshold, determining based on the first data that the computerized rendering period available for displaying a set of one or more candidate content items that are responsive to the query is not likely to satisfy the predetermined threshold, and determining to not use a search engine to execute the received query.

Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for updating a sound field in response to user movement. The methods and systems are less computationally expensive than existing approaches for updating a sound field, and are also suitable for use with arbitrary loudspeaker configurations. The methods and systems provide a dynamic binaural sound field rendering realized with the use of “virtual loudspeakers.” Rather than loudspeaker signals being fed into the physical loudspeakers, the signals are instead filtered with left and right HRIRs (Head Related Impulse Response) corresponding to the spatial locations of these loudspeakers. The sums of the left and right ear signals are then fed into the audio output device of the user.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a method for providing information. A request is received by a call routing server to establish a call between a client device and a remote telecommunications device. A given transmission criterion that triggered distribution of the particular digital component to the client device is determined by a call context server. A set of contextual information that is mapped to the given transmission criterion is identified, by the call context server, in a data store storing a mapping of transmission criteria to contextual information. The client device is connected, by the call routing server, to the remote telecommunications device using the phone number. The set of contextual information is transmitted to the remote telecommunications device or a computing device that is associated with the remote telecommunications device while the call is being connected or in progress.

Abstract: This specification is generally directed to techniques for automatically transitioning applications—especially those that enable exchange of messages between users—into and/or out of a private state based on a variety of signals associated with the messages and/or the participants themselves. In various implementations, an ongoing message exchange thread between two or more participants operating two or more respective message exchange clients may be examined. Based at least in part on the examining, a likelihood may be determined that message(s) directed by one of the participants to another of the participants as part of the ongoing message exchange thread would be deemed private by at least a given participant of the two or more participants. A determination may be made of whether the determined likelihood satisfies one or more thresholds, and in response, one or more of the message exchange clients may be transitioned into a private state.
