Abstract:
An actuating system, comprising a base part and a moving part, which can be moved by a compressively preloaded piston/cylinder assembly that comprises a cylinder and a piston rod, wherein a piston on the piston rod divides the cylinder into two working chambers, wherein the base part has an externally powered drive device that stands in operative connection with the moving part and functions in opposition to the operating force of the piston/cylinder assembly, wherein a control system monitors the motion of the moving system and detects an obstacle when a parameter representing the motion deviates from a stored parameter by a threshold limit, wherein the actuating system in the unpowered state holds the moving part with the aid of a locking device, wherein the locking device is formed by a flow connection between the working chambers of the piston/cylinder assembly and a pilot valve for controllably blocking fluid flow through the flow connection.
Abstract:
In an original pressing plate hinge including a fixing member, an original pressing plate supporting member pivotably installed via a hinge pin to the fixing member, a slider slidably housed in the supporting member, a cam member fixed between the slider and the free end of the supporting member in contact with the slider, and a coil spring provided resiliently between the slider and the free end of the supporting member, the cam member is omitted to prevent an original or document set on the platen glass for copying or printing from being stained with or spoiled by a lubricant when the original touches the cam member to which the lubricant sticks, and instead a pressure receiving pinis used and a cam slider is used in place of the slider. To prevent a heavy original pressing plate from abruptly falling, a fluid damping member is housed in the coil spring and disposed between the cam slider and the top plate or free end of the supporting member.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an air-controlled damper which attenuates the motion of movable components. Sealing between the movable components is effected by a separation means which is fixed to the cylinder and the piston in the hollow space of the cylinder.

Abstract:
The present finding relates to a closing device for sliding portions of pieces of furniture, such as drawers and the like, consisting of a container fastened to the fixed or to the sliding portion of the piece of furniture wherein there are housed a mechanical energy accumulator and an actuation member that is sliding into a guide of the container, and of a pulling member, respectively fastened to the other side of the piece of furniture, which interacts with the actuation member. The actuation member is directly or indirectly slowed in its movement by a deceleration device based on the use of high-viscosity greases.
Abstract:
A door opening device for a food storage apparatus such as a household refrigerator includes a generally cylindrical coil unit mounted on a body of the storage apparatus and having an axially extending through hole, a plunger mounted in the hole of the coil unit so as to be axially moved with respect to the coil unit, the plunger being moved in a direction when the coil unit is energized, and a pushing member mounted on one axial end of the plunger so as to be moved with the plunger, the pushing member pushing the door in an opening direction against an attractive force of the magnet gasket when moved in the one direction with the plunger.
Abstract:
A door closer assembly and a method for operating a door closer assembly. The door closer assembly includes a housing and a door piston guided in the housing. The door piston is operably connected to move a door. A spring piston is guided in the housing and is operable to assist movement of the door piston toward a door closing position. The spring piston is situated in the housing and is acted upon by a spring. The door closer assembly also includes a hydraulic control circuit containing hydraulic fluid which is operable to selectively eliminate a coupling of the door piston and the spring piston from one another during a portion of the travel path of the door piston in the housing. The door closer of the present invention improves the comfort of passing through a door by providing different transmission ratios and therefore, different moment curves.
Abstract:
A door closer unit (100) including a cylindrical housing (10) with a partition (14) axially extending inside and having a first liquid path; a moving body (20) with a movable barrier (24) dividing the interior of the housing into first and second chambers, and a rotational shaft (21) having an upper end extending upward; a door return spring (30) applying a recovering force to the door in a direction opposite to the direction when the moving body's rotational shaft (21) or housing (10) rotates in one direction; a high-viscosity liquid filling in the housing; a control check valve for opening a second liquid path when the door is opened, and closing the second liquid path when the door is closed; a cover (40) rotatably supporting the rotational shaft (21) of the moving body (20) and sealing the upper portion of the housing (10); a speed controller (19) regulating the amount of the liquid when the door is opened or closed, thus controlling the speed of the door; and a door stopper (29) for stopping the door when the door reaches to a predetermined rotating angle including the door's initial position.
Abstract:
A door hinge assembly with a damper mechanism composing a cylindrical housing with caps on both ends, a shaft eccentrically mounted on the cylindrical body, and two plates mounted on the shaft. Two chambers are constructed with the above arrangement and both chambers are filled with oil-hydraulic fluid. When the shaft rotates with respective to the cylindrical body, one of the two chambers is compressed. With means of communicating the two chambers, a desirable dampening force is obtained. Bias spring(s) can be incorporated into this door hinge assembly to provide closing force, so this assembly functions as a door closer.
Abstract:
A rotary damper has a movable valve supported on a support projection radially outwardly projecting from a shaft of a rotating member which is rotatably disposed in a chamber filled with a viscous fluid in a casing. Depending on the direction in which the rotating member rotates in the chamber, the movable valve opens or closes a fluid path defined between the movable valve and an inner circumferential surface of the casing. The movable valve may be angularly movably supported on the support projection which is of a circular cross-sectional shape or radially movably supported on the support projection which is of a rectangular cross-sectional shape.
