Abstract:
An airbag module (10) with a housing (11) accommodating a gas generator (12) and a folded airbag (13) whose deployment opening (14) is closed before activation of the airbag (10) by a cover (15) fixed on the housing (11) by at least one predetermined breaking point (18) and to secure the opened cover (15) on the housing (11). An arrester strap (20) is positioned in a displaceable manner between the cover (15) and the housing (11). The cover (15) bearing a manufacturer emblem (17) on its exterior is secured on the housing (11) by means of a hinge (19) and the arrester strap (20) is attached by its one end (22) to a part affixed to the housing and encloses at least an area of the cover (15) or the manufacturer emblem (17) in a loop (27).
Abstract:
A safety module for a motor vehicle includes at least one airbag with a first fixation interface and at least one actuating device. The at least one actuating device includes an igniter and an igniter support. The igniter has a plastic overmoulding forming a second fixation interface. The igniter support has a third fixation interface designed to receive and fix the second fixation interface. The at least one actuating device retains the first fixation interface by sandwiching it between at least one part of the second fixation intervace and at least one part of the third fixation interface.
Abstract:
A breath analyzer device (1) having an inlet region (2) and a sensor arrangement (3), wherein the inlet region (2) is configured to receive a breath sample from a test subject and direct the sample to the sensor arrangement (3), and the sensor arrangement is configured to provide a signal representative of the concentration of a volatile substance within the sample. The inlet region (2) includes a heater (20, 24) arranged between: a sample inlet port (6) which is open to atmospheric air outside the device (1); and a sample outlet port (11) which is open to the sensor arrangement (3), the heater (20, 24) extending at least part way along a tortuous flow channel (18) which extends between the inlet port (6) and the outlet port (11) for the direction of the sample to the sensor arrangement (3).
Abstract:
A vehicular side airbag apparatus including chambers corresponding to an occupant's shoulder, lumbar, and chest and having three-dimensional shapes formed by baffles inside a side airbag and providing a thickness. The first baffle extends in a vehicular front-rear direction and is joined to a rear edge 103a of a side airbag 103 at a rear end 107b of the first baffle. The second baffle extends in a vehicular up-down direction and has an overlap portion 109 which is set at a longitudinally intermediate position of the second baffle and to which a longitudinally front end 107c of the first baffle is connected along with a vehicular interior panel 105 and a vehicular exterior panel 106. Longitudinal both ends 108b and 108c of the second baffle are joined to an outer peripheral edge of the side airbag 103.
Abstract:
An airbag having a front side (10) and a rear side (20) connected thereto, which airbag is made of an airbag material, which encloses a volume that is filled with a deployment gas when a gas generator or a pressurized gas source is activated, and having at least one limiting strap (30), which is connected to the front side (10) at a first fastening point (31), and to the rear side (20) at a second fastening point (32. At least one of the fastening points (31, 32) has a fastening seam (51, 51′, 52, 52′) having mutually opposing sections for fastening the limiting strap (30) to the airbag material, and wherein at least one load relief slot (60) at the fastening point (31, 32) between the sections of the fastening seam (51, 51′, 52, 52′).
Abstract:
An airbag deployment assistance member capable of suppressing a variation in rotation amount during airbag deployment and increasing stability of an airbag deployment direction. The airbag deployment assistance member includes an attachment portion attached to a body of a vehicle (V), a holding portion that holds a curtain airbag in a folded state on the inner side, and a hinge portion that connects one end of the attachment portion and a first portion of the holding portion. During deployment of the curtain airbag, the entire holding portion rotates about the hinge portion by the deployment force of the curtain airbag until an outer portion of the first portion makes contact with portions of the attachment portion close to an interior garnish. After the contact, a second portion of the holding portion is allowed to be deformed so as to be open in relation to the first portion.
Abstract:
A D-ring assembly for an inflatable belt of a vehicle includes a patch bracket, in which a portion of the patch bracket supporting a D-ring is inclined forward with respect to a portion of the patch bracket fixed to a pillar of the vehicle; and the D-ring installed at the patch bracket to be rotatable in a left or right direction, so that the two-layer webbing is guided toward the front of a wearer, allowing a passenger to easily wear the webbing.
Abstract:
A vehicle steering wheel includes a rim having a cavity, and a device arranged in the cavity of the rim. The vehicle steering wheel further includes a hood designed to close the cavity and a polymer injected around the rim and around the hood. A sealing means is arranged to prevent the polymer from being introduced into the cavity during its injection.
Abstract:
A steering wheel that enables heat to be efficiently conducted to a steering wheel outer covering. The steering wheel includes: a core; a spacer member arranged around an outer periphery of a rim portion of the core; a temperature adjusting element provided on the spacer member; and a resin layer formed to cover an outside portion of the spacer member. The spacer member keeps at least a part of the temperature adjusting element away from the core.
Abstract:
An inflatable curtain airbag assembly has a tubular rolled or folded curtain airbag, and at least one stiffening member provided at the tubular rolled or folded curtain airbag. The stiffening member is fixed by an adhesive connection, a sewing connection, a welding connection or a melting connection directly to the curtain airbag.
