Abstract: A method and user equipment (UE) are provided for receiving system information in a wireless communication system. The UE receives, from a base station, a master information block (MIB) indicating that the base station broadcasts a first system information block type 1 (SIB1) for a specific type of UE. The first set of at least one SIB is scheduled within a first bandwidth that is smaller than a second bandwidth for a second set of at least one SIB.
