The method according to one embodiment includes receiving a first LTE MBMS message comprising information on one or more MBMS services from a network; and transmitting a second LTE MBMS message indicating a specific Multimedia Broadcast multicast service Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) area of an MBSFN area list and a specific MBMS service to the network after receiving the first LTE MBMS message, the UE receiving or being interested to receive the specific MBMS service of the one or more MBMS services. The MBSFN area list is included in system information.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for stopping a device-to-device (D2D) operation in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) supporting proximity services (ProSe) stops an on-going D2D operation if at least one of conditions is satisfied. For example, when the UE detects any cell, when the UE finds a suitable cell, when the UE finds an acceptable cell, when the UE enters a connected state, or when the UE initiates radio resource control (RRC) connection establishment procedure, the UE may stops the on-going D2D operation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing a random access (RA) procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) establishes connection with a first node and a second node, and transmits an RA preamble to the second node. If a number of RA preamble transmissions reaches a maximum number, the UE stops uplink (UL) transmission of all cells in a group to which the second node belongs, and transmits an indication indicating that transmission of the RA preamble has failed to the first node.

The UE receives, from a base station, a master information block (MIB) indicating that the base station broadcasts a first system information block type 1 (SIB1) for a specific type of UE. The UE receives the first SIB1 for the specific type of UE when the MIB indicates that the base station broadcasts the first SIB1 for the specific type of UE, and receives a first set of at least one system information block (SIB) from the base station based on the first SIB1. The first set of at least one SIB is scheduled within a first bandwidth that is smaller than a second bandwidth for a second set of at least one SIB.
