摘要: A vibration absorption device for acoustic insulation for a building structure comprises an absorbent cushion and a vibration isolation cushion. The building structure is selected from a ceiling structure, a floor structure and a partitioning structure separating two adjacent building compartments or a building compartment and the external environment. The absorbent cushion comprises sound absorbing material and the vibration isolation cushion comprising vibration isolation material. The vibration isolation cushion overlies and is laminated to the absorbent cushion. The vibration isolation cushion is rigid relative to the absorbent cushion. The absorbent cushion is supple relative to the vibration isolation cushion. The vibration absorption device is mountable to the building structure, to isolate vibrations and to provide acoustic insulation between the two separated and adjacent building compartments.

摘要: A welting device for pets comprises at least one vertical wall for vertically mounting a wetting pad thereon. A wetting device for pets comprises an enclosure defining an opening for pets to enter and exit therefrom and comprising at least one vertical inner surface for vertically mounting a wetting pad thereon. The wetting pad absorbs urine discharged from a pet.

摘要: A method, for preventing the intelligible voice recording is provided. The voice of a subject or interlocutor is recorded for a given time interval thereby providing a voice recording. The voice recording is cut into shorter time interval segments thereby providing a set of voice recording segments. The set of voice recording segments is mixed in a randomly rearranged order. The mixed set of voice recording segments is spliced into a single randomly mixed voice recording. Emitting the randomly mixed voice recording during speaking of the subject or interlocutor prevents the intelligible recording of the voice of the subject or interlocutor.

摘要: A multi-reservoir feeding/dosing apparatus for the delivery of at least two substances in discrete form includes first and second conveying elements in which the discharge end thereof are a close fit in a discharge bushing thereby to ensure that the correct dosage of each substance is discharged on a consistent basis. Each conveying element is in its respective reservoir. At least one motor drives both conveying elements, with each rotational direction of the motor actuating a corresponding one of the conveying elements.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a system and a method for determining a perceptual-cognitive signature of a subject. A plurality of objects moves at a controlled speed on a visual display, for a predetermined duration in each of a series of core trials. The subject identifies one or more target objects amongst the plurality of objects. The perceptual-cognitive signature of the subject is determined according to the number of target objects, the speed of the objects, the predetermined duration of each of the series of core trials, and a correctness of identifications, by the subject after each predetermined duration, of the target objects over the series of core trials.

摘要: A device and method for the continuous monitoring of otoacoustic emissions (OAE) levels on an individual worker uses as a pair of earpieces each featuring an external microphone, an internal microphone and a pair of miniature receivers. An adaptive filtering noise rejection processing of the measured distortion product OAE (DPOAE) is used to further improve the Signal-to-Noise ratio in frequencies where passive isolation remains insufficient. The adaptive filtering noise rejection technique relies on a Normalized Least-Mean-Square (NLMS) algorithm that uses the ipsilateral external microphone and the contralateral internal microphone to reject the noise from the measured DPOAE signals for each in-ear OAE probe. A DPOAE signal extraction algorithm provides for an increase in results reliability on a greater dynamic range in DPOAE magnitudes than known methods of DPOAE signal extraction. The device and method is suitable for the continuous monitoring of workers' hearing capabilities in industrial noises up to 75 dB(A).
