    Abstract: A sealing body of a cylindrical battery, including: a sealing plate with a through-hole formed at a center of a metallic disk and a thin-walled portion formed into a groove in a planar surface of the disk, the sealing plate mounted to a cylindrical battery can having a closed bottom, so as to seal an opening of the battery can, the battery can doubling as an electrode current collector of either a positive or negative electrode and housing a power generating element; an electrode terminal of another of the positive or negative electrode, the electrode terminal including a shaft portion inserted into the through-hole and fitted to the sealing plate; and a sealing gasket made of resin and interposed between the shaft portion and the through-hole. The thin-walled portion has an arc shape and is not formed along a circle concentric with an outer periphery of the sealing plate.

    Abstract: A multilayer inductor providing improved DC superposition characteristics by a permanent magnet that emits a bias magnetic flux, and having a low-loss material as a magnetic body to improve converter conversion efficiency. The multilayer inductor has a plurality of laminated electrically insulating magnetic layers; and laminated conductive patterns, each of the conductive patterns being connected in sequence in the lamination direction forming a spiral coil inside the magnetic layer. An magnetized annular permanent magnet layer emits a magnetic flux whose direction is opposite that of a magnetic flux excited by the coil is between an outer peripheral edge of the inductor and an outer peripheral edge of the coil so as not to overlap an inner peripheral part of the magnet layer with the conductive patterns and so as to block a space between the conductive patterns and the magnet layer, in axial view of the coil.

    Abstract: A nickel hydrogen secondary battery accommodates an electrode group including a positive electrode and a negative electrode which are stacked one on top of another through a separator, together with an alkaline electrolyte. The battery contains Li, with a total amount of Li in the battery 2 of 15 to 50 mg/Ah, as determined as the mass in terms of LiOH per Ah of the positive electrode capacity. The negative electrode includes particles of rare earth-Mg—Ni-based hydrogen storage alloy which contains a rare earth element, Mg and Ni. The hydrogen storage alloy particles 44 includes, on the surface thereof, a rare earth hydroxide which is the hydroxide of a rare earth element and has a specific surface area of 0.1 to 0.5 m2/g.
