Abstract:
Enzyme granules are provided in which an enzyme is rapidly eluted, without insoluble remnants, and generation of powdery dust is suppressed, and which granules have a property such that classification phenomenon generated among the granules in a detergent composition is less likely to take place, in a case where the enzyme granules are formulated together with other components in a detergent. The enzyme granule comprise (A) water-insoluble substance and or a slightly water-soluble substance; (B) a water-soluble binder; and (C) an enzyme. A dye may also be present for coloring. The content of (A) component is 45% by weight or more, and the enzyme granules have an average particle size of from 150 to 500 &mgr;m and a bulk density of from 500 to 1,000 g/L, and have a structure such that more amount of (B) component is present near the surface of the enzyme granules than in the inner portion thereof. The enzyme granule may be aggregated to form an enzyme granule aggregate. A process is provided for preparing the enzyme granule by spray-drying a slurry containing (A), (B) and (C). The enzyme granule aggregate may be prepared by adding an aqueous binding solution to the granules and drying, or by adding molten thermoplastic binder to the granules and cooling.
Abstract:
Detergent formulations incorporating crystalline alkali metal silicate granules provide enhanced performance in removing sebum dirt stains at low dosages of detergent in the wash. The detergent formulations are prepared by combining an alkali metal silicate having a high pH value with a nonionic surfactant and an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant capable of having a lamellar orientation. The formulation is granulated by tumbling in an agitating mixer while increasing the bulk density at elevated temperatures to yield alkali metal silicate granules having a bulk density of from 0.6 to 1.2 g/ml.

The C-plane is oriented parallel to the pressing direction.
Abstract:
The present invention is targeted to obtain a high-density granular detergent composition for clothes washing having sufficient detergency even when the amount of dosage is small without lowering its detergency even after long-term storage by blending a non-soap anionic surfactant and a crystalline alkali metal silicate in a state of non-contact as much as possible. The high-density granular detergent composition for clothes washing, the granular detergent composition having a bulk density of from 0.7 to 1.2 g/cm3, including (A) a non-soap anionic surfactant; (B) a crystalline alkali metal silicate; and (C) a metal ion capturing agent other than Component (B). In the above detergent composition, Component (A) is added in an amount of from 10 to 50% by weight, and a total amount of Component (B) and Component (C) is from 30 to 80% by weight, and a weight ratio of Component (B) to Component (C) is (B)/(C)=1/15 to 5/1, and at least a part of (B) the crystalline alkali metal silicate is blended in builder granules, the builder granules including the crystalline alkali metal silicate, a binder and optionally an aluminosilicate. Further, (A) the non-soap anionic surfactant is contained in the builder granules in an amount of less than 10% by weight.

Abstract:
In production of a shell-type golf club head made up of several different pieces, an iron-type material of a specified chemical composition and carbon equivalent is subjected to a combination of annealing before shaping with quenching after shaping. Exclusion of the conventional casting process in production much improves mechanical characteristics of the product and increase mechanical strength enables formation of a large size golf club head with an enlarged sweet spot. Limited and locally specified disposition of weld lines assures highly accurate lie and loft angles with reduced welding strain.
