Abstract:
A nanofiber and fabrication methods thereof. The method for fabricating the nanofiber includes preparing an electrospinning composition and performing an electrospinning process employing the electrospinning composition. Particularly, the electrospinning composition includes a polymer and an additive as a uniform solution in an organic solvent, wherein the additive renders the electronic characteristic of the polymer.
Abstract:
A method and system for image processing, in conjunction with classification of images between natural pictures and synthetic graphics, using SGLD texture (e.g., variance, bias, skewness, and fitness), color discreteness (e.g., R—L, R—U, and R—V normalized histograms), or edge features (e.g., pixels per detected edge, horizontal edges, and vertical edges) is provided. In another embodiment, a picture/graphics classifier using combinations of SGLD texture, color discreteness, and edge features is provided. In still another embodiment, a “soft” image classifier using combinations of two (2) or more SGLD texture, color discreteness, and edge features is provided. The “soft” classifier uses image features to classify areas of an input image in picture, graphics, or fuzzy classes.

Abstract:
A method for enhancing color fidelity in multi-reproduction, includes scanning an image to be reproduced, wherein the image contains an invisible digital watermark including color information; decoding the color information contained in the watermark; comparing the decoded color information with the scanned image; generating a correction table from the differences between the decoded color information and the scanned image; and performing color correction on the scanned image using the correction table. This method confines the color error to one generation, even when copies go through multiple reproduction.
Abstract:
A polymeric material applicable for making a data-recording layer of a multi-layer recording medium in the process using a plastic stamper is provided. In the manufacturing process of multi-layer recording media, a plastic substrate carrying data signals is used as a stamper. The stamper includes a plastic substrate formed thereon a signal-carrying layer. The polymeric material is applied on the plastic stamper to form a data-recording layer. The polymeric material has good duplicating characteristics and has different adhesion to a metallic layer and a polymeric layer so that data-recording layer made by the polymeric material is easy to be peeled off from the stamper. The stamper is also reusable for several times so as to save manufacturing cost.
Abstract:
A water shut-off structure of the drinking device for a pet is formed of a water outlet, a spout tube, a washer, and a steel ball. The water outlet is fastened at the inner end to a water container of the drinking device. The spout tube is fastened at the inner end to the outer end of the water outlet and is provided at the outer end with a discharge port. The spout tube is provided in the inner wall of the outer end with a stop ring. The washer is conical in form and is disposed in the spout tube such that the washer is confined by the outer end of the water outlet and the stop ring of the spout tube. The steel ball is movably received in the conical washer to allow or prevent the passage of water.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a method of producing a trivalent chromium complex compound by heating a trivalent chromium compound and lactoferrin together. The trivalent chromium complex compound can be added into milk to obtain trivalent chromium milk products. Both the complex compound and the milk products of the present invention can be served to diabetics for effectively reducing the concentration of blood sugar.
Abstract:
An automatic inspection method and apparatus using structured light and machine vision cameras to inspect an object in conjunction with the geometric model of the object is disclosed. Camera images of the object are analyzed by computer to produce the location of points on the object's surfaces in three dimensions. During a setup phase before object inspection, the points are analyzed with respect to the geometric model computer file of the object. Many points are eliminated to reduce data-taking and analysis time to a minimum and to prevent extraneous reflections from producing errors. When similar objects are subsequently inspected, points from each surface of interest are spatially averaged to give high accuracy measurements of object dimensions. The inspection device uses several multiplexed sensors, each composed of a camera and a structured light source, to measure all sides of the object on a single pass. Calibration and compensation methods are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A steering lock, which includes a casing for mounting on an inner periphery of a steering wheel, having a front track and a rear track separated by an arched mounting hole, a lock cylinder at the front, and a steel ball supported on a spring in a hole within the rear truck. A constraint bar is fixed to the casing for abutting the instrument panel of an automobile. A slide block is adapted to slide between the front and rear tracks and guided by a guide screw on the casing. The slide block has a recessed hole which receives the latch bolt of the lock cylinder when the steering lock is locked or the steel ball when the steering lock is unlocked.
