Abstract:
Embodiments are directed towards providing an interactive game experience whereby a game player may combine game play with a user interface overlaid onto the game that is useable to interact and communicate with other players inside and/or outside of the current game. Through the use of the user interface, a player may select different game sets to play, and rapidly switch between games with different players, while maintaining a real-time interactive chat session, or similar communication session, including, without limit, voice communication sessions. A game client component may launch a game, and then hooks into the game to intercept various input and video functions.
Abstract:
A charged particle beam device is described. In one aspect, the charged particle beam device includes a charged particle beam source, and a switchable multi-aperture for generating two or more beam bundles from a charged particle beam which includes: two or more aperture openings, wherein each of the two or more aperture openings is provided for generating a corresponding beam bundle of the two or more beam bundles; a beam blanker arrangement configured for individually blanking the two or more beam bundles; and a stopping aperture for blocking beam bundles. The device further includes a control unit configured to control the individual blanking of the two or more beam bundles for switching of the switchable multi-aperture and an objective lens configured for focusing the two or more beam bundles on a specimen or wafer.
Abstract:
A tool for use in wellbore drilling that is suitable for use with a drill string for drilling a wellbore having an inner wall. The tool comprises a cylindrical abrasion surface for contacting the inner-wall and generating particles of solid material, and a smearing device coupled with the drill string for applying radial and circumferential force to smear the generated particles onto the inner wall of the wellbore.
Abstract:
Productivity prediction technique and system, in which user input defining workforce capability parameters is received and a prediction model is accessed. The prediction model quantifies an impact of workforce capability on productivity. The model was generated by applying statistical analysis on historical workforce data for projects and historical process metrics data for the projects. The prediction model is used to calculate a distribution of productivity for a given set of workforce capability parameters and the predicted productivity range for the workforce capability parameters is provided.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a conveyance tool and a tool string having one or more sensors or cameras for detecting the performance of pre-existing perforations in a cased wellbore, and one or more perforation intervention tools mounted on the tool string and capable of performing remedial actions directed at most one perforation and its nearest neighbors or at a single perforation.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide compositions and methods for lining a wellbore. In certain aspects, the compositions and methods comprise providing a fluid composition that is solidifiable or gellable on exposure to actinic radiation of a predetermined wavelength at the wall of open-hole wellbore and providing actinic radiation at the predetermined wavelength to solidify or gel the composition. The predetermined wavelength lies in a range from 100 nm to 1500 nm.
Abstract:
An inflatable garment for applying to parts of the body such as the calf of the leg as a means of enhancing blood circulation in the body. The garment is of universal application in the sense that it comprises two wrap halves (8, 9) provided with inflatable bladders (4, 5, 6). The two wrap halves can be selectively coupled together in such a way as to provide a variable overall length of garment wrap to suit calf's of differing size while at the same time maintaining the integrity of fluid communication between the bladders on the respective wrap halves.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an improved method of developing and monitoring performance of a technology outsourcing agreement. The invention provides a computer-implemented method of outsourcing technology services to a client where a client has a number of environments in which technology services are required. The method includes selecting the services which are required by the client and displaying a table where each intersection in the table is associated with a service and an environment. In each intersection is an indication of a supplier responsible for the associated service in the associated environment. Each intersection may also be associated with free-form textual information relating to the associated service in the associated environment.
