    摘要: A disk controlling apparatus creates sense data indicating the contents of an error and writes it into an intermediate buffer provided within the disk controlling apparatus together with the record normally read when a key portion or a data portion constituting a record is not normally read. The disk controlling apparatus searches the intermediate buffer for desired record, reads and informs an error while taking the sense data into consideration for each record. The disk controlling apparatus stores a write address in a memory at the time of writing data, and when data are normally written the write address is eliminated from the memory, while holding the address when data are not normally written. At the time of reading data, if the address which agrees with the read address is stored in the memory, the disk controlling apparatus reports an error to a host apparatus. The disk controlling apparatus further calculates the busy ratio indicating the rate at which each channel adapters is used for I/O processing, and data is transmitted and received to and from the host apparatus through the channel adapter which has the lowest busy ratio.

    摘要: A magnetic tape drive in an auto-reverse tape recorder has a pair of reel-base gears, a pair of capstans, a pair of pinch rollers, a drive mechanism, a switching mechanism, and an oscillating mechanism. The drive mechanism selectively drives one of the pair of reel bases and selectively meshes with a cam gear, and the pair of reel bases has a gear that rotatively drives the reel base gear that is meshed with the cam gear. The switching mechanism switches a running direction of the magnetic tape from a first direction to a second direction, and the switching mechanism is reciprocated when the end of the magnetic tape is reached so that a first pinch roller that is abutting a first capstan moves away from the first capstan and a second pinch roller moves into contact with the second capstan. The switching mechanism has a switching lever that is reciprocated by the oscillating mechanism that includes a first oscillating mechanism that engages a cam portion of the cam gear and that is oscillated by a rotation of the cam gear and a second oscillating mechanism that is oscillated by the first oscillating mechanism so that the switching lever is reciprocated to change the running direction.

    摘要: A device that is to be isolated from mechanical shock and vibration such as a magnetic disk storage device is provided with a series of four shock mounting members that have a bolt projecting from one axial end and a stiffened grooved portion at the opposite axial end. A frame member with a rigid end portion and cantilevered, resilient frame members extending therefrom carries a series of U-shaped hook portions that are aligned with the shock mounting members. The pair of hooks on the end portion face the same direction and extend in the opposite direction with respect to the cantilevered frame portions. The other pair of hooks are mounted on the resilient cantilevered frame portions and face toward or away from one another so that they may be placed in engagement with the cooperating shock mounting member grooves by forcing the cantilevered frame portions toward or away from one another and thereafter releasing such parts when the hooks are aligned with the respective grooves. Thereafter accidental disengagement of the hooks is prevented by disabling the cantilevered frame portions by attachment of the frame to another rigid member of the assembly such as a circuit card.
