摘要: The invention relates to a liquid crystal display element displaying an image using a liquid crystal layer having memory characteristics and a method of driving the element. A liquid crystal display element capable of suppressing the generation of an afterimage attributable to image sticking is provided along with a method of driving the same. The liquid crystal display element includes a display section having memory characteristics including a cholesteric liquid crystal layer and displaying an image when a voltage is applied to the cholesteric liquid crystal layer, the section being capable of keeping the image displayed without electric power, a driving condition storing section for storing a plurality of different driving conditions including a voltage and an application period of the voltage, and a control section determining a display period for which a presently displayed image has been displayed on the display section when the displayed image is rewritten into a new image, acquiring a driving condition according to the display period from the driving condition storing section, and causing the display section to display the new image based on the acquired driving condition.

摘要: To provide a user with better experience of cooperation between an electronic business card processing program and a communication program when exchanging electronic business cards. Electronic business cards are stored in a DB server, which is one of storages for a communication program, as well as an electronic business card local file. Thus, even if a PC is a company's PC, for example, the electronic business cards can be viewed by accessing the DB server from another PC or the like outside an office. Further, the electronic business card processing program operates with the communication program as back-end, however, the electronic business card processing program may not be installed on a PC in some cases. Even in such a case, the communication program alone can display received electronic business cards that are stored in the communication program local file on the screen of a display.

摘要: To solve problems of a conventional process for producing a ceramic sheet by extrusion such that it is a production process with a prolonged lead time requiring material granulation and homogenization steps and if homogenization of a kneaded clay is insufficient, the dispersion of the density of a green sheet will occur and a ceramic sintered body after firing will have deformation or warpage, thereby to cause failures in circuit pattern printing and joining between a metal circuit board and a heatsink. A process for producing a ceramic sheet comprising use of an extrusion molding machine combining a twin screw extruder with powerful kneading performance and a single screw extruder with molding stability, so that a quality equivalent to or superior to that of the prior art can be obtained and that high production efficiency can be attained, and a ceramic substrate utilizing it, are obtained.

摘要: A disk interface controller (3) connected to a plurality of HDDS (7) is provided in the disk array apparatus. The plural HDDS 1 to 3 constitute a RAID. Three new hard disks having a larger storage capacity than that of an existing HDD are prepared. The existing HDD 1 is replaced with a new HDD 1. The data stored in the existing HDD 1 is reconstructed by the existing HDD 2 and HDD 3 to be stored in the new HDD 1. Thus, the existing HDD 2 and HDD 3 are successively replaced with new HDD 2 and HDD 3, and the data to be stored is reconstructed by the other two HDDS. After all of three HDDs are replaced with new ones, configuration information existing in each new HDD is modified to expand the storage capacity of each new HDD.

摘要: A vehicle bumper structure includes a cushioning member provided at a rear surface of a rear bumper beam. The cushioning member has upper and lower hollow protrusions of different protrusion lengths extending transversely of the vehicle along the rear surface of the rear bumper beam. The upper hollow protrusion, having a protruding length longer than the protruding length of the lower hollow protrusion, includes a protrusion top with a pair of light and left slit-shaped openings provided on right and left sides of a central portion for allowing easy buckling of the upper protrusion.
