摘要： Provisions of a large screen, thin sheet-like display device capable of realizing usages just like paper, a sphere-like resin body made of two semispheres capable of being manufactured easily, and a microcapsule containing electrophoretic particles capable of being manufactured easily. The sheet-like display device 10 has a sheet-like display layer 12 and at least one layer 14 containing an element for activating the sheet-like display layer, the layers being integrally formed. The sphere-like resin body has first and second portions made of resins, the absolute value of a difference between both the solubility parameters &dgr;1 and &dgr;2 of the resins being |&dgr;1−&dgr;2|≧0.2. The phoretic particle-containing microcapsule has a resin shell in which phoretic particles are contained in a core. The diameter of the core is in a range from 10 &mgr;m to 200 &mgr;m and the circumferential length L of the microcapsule is in a range of (4.1×T)≦L≦(20.1×T) where T is a Martin diameter of the microcapsule.

摘要： A liquid developer and the like which have good storage stability and can enable formation of high-quality images stably over a long period of time. The liquid developer of the present invention comprises: an insulating carrier liquid; toner particles insoluble in the insulating carrier liquid, and containing a colorant and a binder resin; and at least one of a silane coupling agent and an alkoxy-modified silicone. The silane coupling agent has at least one functional group selected from amino groups, methacryloxy groups, epoxy groups, isocyanate groups, mercapto groups, and vinyl groups.

摘要： To provide a user with better experience of cooperation between an electronic business card processing program and a communication program when exchanging electronic business cards. Electronic business cards are stored in a DB server, which is one of storages for a communication program, as well as an electronic business card local file. Thus, even if a PC is a company's PC, for example, the electronic business cards can be viewed by accessing the DB server from another PC or the like outside an office. Further, the electronic business card processing program operates with the communication program as backend, however, the electronic business card processing program may not be installed on a PC in some cases. Even in such a case, the communication program alone can display received electronic business cards that are stored in the communication program local file on the screen of a display.

摘要： The present invention discloses a composition comprising a mixture containing 100 parts by weight of substantially linear polyphenylene sulfide which is treated with an aqueous solution of an acid or a salt of a strong acid and a weak base and which has not less than 70 mol % of a repeating unit of ##STR1## 0.05 to 5 parts by weight of at least one aminoalkoxysilane compound and, if necessary, 0.01 to 3 parts by weight of a releasing agent, the mixture being kneaded under heating at a temperature higher than the melting point of the polyphenylene sulfide, said composition exhibiting excellent impact strength and weld strength and providing molded product with small amount of flash generated during molding. The invention also discloses a composition which further comprises a fibrous reinforcing material and/or an inorganic powdered or granular filler, according to necessity, as well as disclosing a method of producing said composition.

摘要： This invention relates to an apparatus for the electrolytic treatment of alkali halide solution in a three chamber type electrolytic bath assembly comprising an anodic chamber, an intermediate chamber and a cathodic chamber arranged one after another in series. Each chamber is separated from its neighboring chamber by means of an anodic ion exchange membrane. The apparatus is characterized, according to this invention, in that the first one of the membranes separating the intermediate and anodic chambers is made of a fluorine-containing resin, while the second membrane separating the intermediate and cathodic chambers includes, as its main ion exchange radical, a pendant type phenolic radical or derivative thereof. The inventive process, which utilizes the above-described apparatus characterized in that it utilizes a caustic alkali concentration in the intermediate chamber which ranges from about 10 - 20 wt. % while the output caustic alkali developed at and delivered from the cathodic chamber amounts to a concentration ranging from about 30 to 50 wt. %.
