Abstract:
An X-ray generator and an X-ray photographing apparatus including the X-ray generator generate characteristic X-rays. The X-ray generator includes an electron beam emission unit that emits electron beams; an electron beam guide unit, in which the electron beam emission unit is disposed, for condensing the electron beams and causing the electron beams to travel in a predetermined direction; and a target unit disposed to face the electron beam guide unit, and discharging X-rays when the electron beams collide with the target unit.
Abstract:
Example embodiments relate to a backlight unit and a display apparatus employing the same. The backlight unit may include a light source; a polarization conversion unit configured to convert polarization of light incident from the light source; and a light guide plate configured to emit light incident through the polarization conversion unit. The light guide plate may include a plurality of light emitting portions configured to emit light through specular reflection. The light polarized by the polarization conversion unit may maintain its polarization state when it is subsequently emitted from the light guide plate.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a multilayered inductor including: a multilayered body in which a plurality of body sheets are multilayered; a coil part configured of internal electrode patterns formed on the body sheets; a magnetic path shielding part formed in a vertical direction so as to be adjacent to the coil part and made of a non-magnetic material; and external electrodes formed at both sides of the multilayered body and electrically connected to both ends of the coil part. Therefore, even though the number of non-magnetic materials is increased, the closed magnetic path structure is maintained, thereby making it possible to easily implement the inductance. In addition, the multilayered numbers of the internal electrode patterns configuring the coil part are decreased, such that a region in which the coil part is not present in the multilayered inductor is increased, thereby making it possible to improve the DC bias characteristics.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating osteoarthritis comprising rebamipide as an active ingredient and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The pharmaceutical composition may be for oral administration, for example an oral solid dosage form of a tablet or capsule form. The pharmaceutical composition may be formulated into a unit dosage form suitable for orally administering rebamipide in a dose ranging from 0.5 to 50 mg/kg, preferably from 0.6 to 6 mg/kg.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device includes a first memory region including a plurality of memory cells; a test unit configured to test the first memory region, and detect a weak bit from among the plurality of memory cells; and a second memory region configured to store a weak bit address (WBA) of the first memory region, and data intended to be stored in the weak bit, wherein the first memory region and the second memory region include different types of memory cells.
Abstract:
A memory device comprises a memory cell array and a bad page map. The memory cell array comprises a plurality of memory cells arranged in pages and columns, wherein the memory cell array is divided into a first memory block and a second memory block each corresponding to an array of the memory cells. The bad page map stores bad page location information indicating whether each of the pages of the first memory block is good or bad. A fail page address of the first memory block is replaced by a pass page address of the second memory block according to the bad page location information.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, the electrowetting device includes a first medium; a second medium that is not mixed with the first medium and has a refractive index different from a refractive index of the first medium; an upper electrode that adjusts an angle of a boundary surface between the first medium and the second medium; and a barrier wall that has a side surface surrounding the first and second mediums, allows the upper electrode to be disposed on a portion of the side surface, and has irregular widths.
Abstract:
A phase-locked-loop (PLL) circuit is provided. The PLL circuit includes a phase/frequency detector, a digital filter, a digital low pass filter (LPF), a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO), and a frequency divider. The digital LPF performs a low-pass-filtering on least significant bits of first digital data in a digital mode and generates filtered second digital data. The DCO performs a digital-to-analog conversion on the second digital data and most significant bits of the first digital data to generate a first signal, generates an oscillation control signal based on the first signal, and generates an output clock signal oscillating in response to the oscillation control signal.
